I stumbled across this on Kickstarter and contributed/ordered one for myself when they're ready for delivery in February.

I just use my cell phone. it's a device I already own and the Ram mount cost about 50 bucks.

I like that! I have found that when I use my phone to navigate it runs the battery down fast. There is also the distraction of trying to find out where you are at the moment while trying to concentrate on riding. This startup might be a great thing for scooter riders.

No, I'm not buying that. It seems you have to keep glancing down on it. That can't be good. Keeping phone in my pocket/mount and hearing turn-by-turn voice guidance is the way I do it.

I agree. My RAM mount puts it right in front of my face and all I do is listen for what comes through my headphones in my helmet, and/or a quick glance at the arrow and distance, which is extremely prominent. You don't lose any situational awareness.

I find that Apps using Google Maps are easiest to use and most importantly, for me, is the traffic info. Hate to ride any distance without knowing what's ahead of me.

I find road signs the easiest to use.

Not so hot on traffic info though. Plus ours are all in Gaelic

All in Gaelic?

Around here, the likelihood of a street name road sign seems to be inversely proportional to how desperately you need to know where you are supposed to turn.

If I had to rely on roads signs or maps to get to somewhere I'd not been to before, I'd get lost.

Imagine driving around in Atlanta. There are 71 streets named Peachtree! Really. Google it. If you Are looking for an address on Peachtree, good luck.
