that cat is really restrictive and the end hits a wall and exits an opening that is right around where that small hole is. The exit to the wall is also a hole that is very losely fitted over the muffler exit so you lose even more flow there. so it is very restricting actually but restriction also me...

it was genuine it was a gp exhaust so i dont think designed for daily driven at all really and it was one of thier lower models so maybe it was not a very good quality

i was actually thinking of something similar when i had to replace my belt last weekend thinking that might have been part of the cause of my yumi belt going so early, well that and long highway rides

i did that exact thing on my elite 80. the cvt cover went from too hot to touch on a long ride to barely warm and never had a problem with the belt.

so it sounds like what my leo did but without much of the low end drop in power im thinking of doing this actually with the fact that the stock exhaust wont lose a clamp :/

well to add to this DO NOT use the leo if you run on the highway for extended periods of time. first the slip seal went bad so i had it welded, then a weld broke, then all the sudden the bolt stripped and pipe sheared so if its just around town and you wanna make noise(my original plan) then go ahea...

you will get use to it i ride up and down the interstate almost everyday dont stress adding weight its not worth the trade offs

and just some advice this is a very stable scoot (came from a elite 80) so the instability you feel may be more a mental block than actual danger

its the strands are reinforced with kevlar to keep the belt from stretching as easily meaning it will last longer and hold up to more stress
