Re: First Problem with my 2011 PCX125
Stop using additives and check your spark plug, it is probably out of specification and covered in burnt additive.

Re: Fitting the 08R70-K35-D00 Wind Shield
All that is in the kit for the various bikes it fits. I can almost guarantee you will only need the 4 bolts and washers. Once the old one is off, you will be able to see what you really need to use. If you are worried, go back to the dealer and ask for instructions. Yer no that far away fae Aberdeen...

Doesn't look like anyone has. There are only 4 bolts so should be fairly easy. The 2013 was a doddle to fit aftermarket screens to, just go for it.

Left brake lever pivot screw!
Just had my first 'off' at a set of traffic lights thanks to a Spanish female cutting a red light. I had to brake hard and the skid ended in a topple. No real harm done except light grazing to my arm and leg. A broken Kappa high screen and a couple of scratches to the plastic tub. All good consideri...

Re: Unspoken Law of "The Nod"
In Spain, not a nod or a wave, ever! I nod to car drivers if I am letting them in or turn but that is it. Nada on the hola folks. I think it is all a bit too machismo here for bikers yet everyone double kisses on meeting everywhere else, men, women, kids, etc. Maybe I should try air kissing other ri...

Put ads on, fine by me. FFS, if you had sold the site ads would have appeared within days anyway without any poll! Nice of you to ask, but it is your site and I am sure we can trust you to not overload it with garbage or pop-ups, gambling sites or dating crap. Keep it fun, make some cash, what could...

Re: Misfire help
Thanks for the quick replies people.... The gasket seemed fine and I was very carefull getting the exhuast back on so I hope that isnt the case... It may well be the gap on the plug.... never having used a set of feeler guages (and not knowing how to use one) prevent me from doing so.... Any altern...

Re: Misfire help
Hi. Did you set the sparkplug gap correctly? Just because it is new does not mean it is correct for your bike. Get a set of feeler gauges and check it. Lack of air through a blocked filter would also cause poor ignition. The oil makes no odds whatsoever. The exhaust, unless you have damaged the gask...

Thanks MD, just what I needed.
I won't need to back off the calliper pistons, the disc is doing a fine job of that on its own.

PCX front wheel/rotor removal
Greetings. Managed to warp my disc rotor yesterday by leaving the lock attached. Gave a fine 'clunk' as it struck the arm. It now rubs the brake pads and effects the brake tolerance so has to be changed out. Question for you is:- Can someone give me the details of tools required and torque settings,...

I fitted the KAPPA 82x58cm high screen at the end of summer last year. Much more protection this year and worth every penny. Shipped promptly too for something from Italy! The Ebay number for the one I purchased if you want a look is 141113256914. Not for the 2014/5 model though.

Spoggles x1, gloves, multifibre cloth, tyre pressure gauge, insurance docs/Green Flag assistance, Swiss army knife. The tool kit went in the bin - less than useless.

Re: Nightmare with plastics and seat
I presume the bolt has become loose under the foam and cover. Just undo some of the staples with a flat head screwdriver and locate the nut. Staple it back down after :-)

There may be small physical health benefits from using core muscles but I think the main benefit is positive mental health. Biking is just amazing.

Re: Video I made of my first valve clearance check
Checking valve clearances, simplest of jobs. Getting to them is almost impossible and a labour of love. Well done for this video though. Great work. It is not just bikes that are complicated, open the lid on any modern car and you would be hard pushed to see something that resembles an engine there ...

Shouldn't be any noises on deceleration. Had two PCX 125s and neither made any noises. Something is not right, who knows what though.
