Re: dumbest thing ever...

I saw a kid on a cb125r with a crazy loud exhaust try and ride away from a supermarket.. He had forgotten to unchain the back wheel and lamp post. 3 high revving attempts later Lots of noise, a horrible clutch smell and then he realised. I would have said something, but I was in a car in traffic, an...

Re: Warning: Forza 300 discs and pads

This is not a general whine about the engineering of the brakes. They function, they stop you well, they stop you quick, and in the wet the ABS does its job. This is not something which warrants a recall. My complaint and warning is the specific row in the servicing table which says that they should...

Re: Warning: Forza 300 discs and pads

I've already sorted it for myself. It wasn't a cry for help. But given the scale of the issue.

I thought it should be made sticky, so that new owners/Honda are aware of the issue.

Warning: Forza 300 discs and pads

I request this be made sticky. The service schedule is as follows. 600 miles 8000 miles 16000 miles 24000 miles etc At the 8000 mile service Honda require the pads be inspected. They should always be replaced as they cannot make it to the 16000 service. There are numerous reports of pads failing aro...

Re: Honda Forza 300 Arrow Exhaust

I loved Motad exhausts.

They are still going, but the range of bikes they cover is limited and no scooters at all.

Nice sound, but not loud unlike akropovic/arrow/gianelli/leo vince

Re: New pads and discs strikes again!

So. I've just hit 10k and the rear pads are gone. That sound normal? They are easy to replace and only cost a tenner so I'm not worried there. More disturbing to me is that the front disc has warped again. twice in 10k miles. Does anyone make floating rotors for the Forza? I can't find any. Does the...

Spoke to a dealer at the weekend. He had a few returned because of this issue. He said reseating the body panels and adding self adhesive rubber between panels sorted it.

Re: a little rough or buzz at 4250-4400 rpm

It's not the tyre.

I've had three different tyres on mine, The current one is oversize and It's never made any difference to the buzz.

I think the only way to diagnose it will be to stick it on a rolling road at 30mph.

Re: a little rough or buzz at 4250-4400 rpm

The number plate isn't the root cause.

I added a bolt to the number plate, and tried it without the number plate, the resonance is still there.

Re: New pads and discs strikes again!

I find the engine braking strong enough and rarely need to use the brakes. Unfortunately my commute is crap and I do have to emergency stop once a month. I have warped two front discs. The brakes are fantastic in terms of stopping power. But it's also their downfall. To get the same on a full sized ...

Re: 2016 Forza is here...

There is usually a 4-5 year life to any model of bike or car. Forza was 2013, so it probably has another 2 years before a big refresh.

Depends on how thick your USB cable is.

I bought one of those flat ribbon cables and it fits through the closed door no problems at all.

Re: Headlight Upgrades

I would avoid HIDs like the plague in the Forza if you plan on owning it more than a year.

The lenses on it are plastic and HIDs throw out so much UV they age the plastic and reflectors and turn them yellow.

Re: more fuel capacity

Buy a small can of petrol, ride it until your bike is empty, runs out of fuel and stops. See how far you have gone. Then put the can of fuel in and stop at a petrol station. The fuel meter on the dash is garbage. I do notice from your fuelly page you are only getting 60-65mpg That may just be a resu...

Re: oxford heated grip

You have to take the bottom panels off the bike. Feed the cables down through the handle bars with all the other cables. Then from under the bike, thread them around the fuel tank and into the battery compartment. It's a big job. And it's worth getting a professional to do it if you are not sure wha...

Re: a little rough or buzz at 4250-4400 rpm

It's about 30mph

I also use Michelin City Grip 150/70-13 no rubbing.

I'll try the O-rings next time I have the cover off.
