Re: 2014 Honda Forza US Freeway Speeds
Thanks Mitch, Got the grips from a Chinese company on Amazon. They are just like the Kury grips but about 1/3 the price. http://goo.gl/wmQ5yB I thought about removing the handshields during the summer, but I just been to lazy. I changed the screen after seeing another post about the AF. More air on ...

It fluctuates. For example if I hot rod it for 5 miles before fill up, it will show as much as 10% less than actual for the whole tank.
On average the gauge is about 5% less than actual for me.

I don't think the 200 is freeway legal in Ga. I think they require 250cc.
What about it maddiedog or mel? I know people drive less on the freeway though.

Re: Strongly considering Forza, just took first test ride.
As Josh said, it should do at least 80+ around Hotlanta with no problems. You aren't exactly a mountainous area. I never tried that fast until after breakin though, so I don't have any experience about pre-breakin max speed. I used a dremmel tool cut a notch in the bottom of the door for my GPS cabl...

Re: 2014 Honda Forza US Freeway Speeds
I guess I'm a BSer. The worst I've gotten was driving I-59 N from Eutaw, AL (exit 40) to Birmingham, AL (exit 123) full throttle on April 23 this year. 58.6 mpg. At 58 mph (on that same stretch) I get between 73-75 mpg. I'm 5'10" and 205lbs. I have the Givi AF windscreen with V47 trunk, but at ...

Re: New Member/Forza Rear tyre recall
I called the dealer and they claimed 1 hr to remove and another hr to reinstall the rear tire. He did say he was guessing as they haven't changed a rear tire yet. gn2 has changed a rear and said it was pretty simple. Maybe he can give some feedback. I have the manual if you can provide a way to send...

Josh,
Kymco is good. They make parts for other manufacturers. BMW chose them for their 2 Maxi scooters. I'd say they have been tested and proven.
But you can get a lemon from anyone. I don't mean the Exciting is for you or not. Just don't discount it because you are unfamiliar with it.

Re: Will a Forza be the "ultimate" bike for me?
Josh, If you plan on changing just for that 1% and you'll be riding those mtns in your area, then I'm in agreement with gn2. The Silverwing will do great with 2 up, loaded, riding the mtns, decent mpg, and you'll only need a back rest for your bride. If the 1% is minor consideration, then I don't th...

Re: Givi AF1123 Installed this morning
Thanks Roc54, I think it would perform the same on most scoots. Swings are great too. We've had a couple and been coast to coast (USA) with them.
The AF is a great performer for me, but personally I don't like the look. It is easy to switch and I now have 3 shields (Stock, Honda tall, and the AF).

Re: Rear tire size
I can't believe honda could say that without laughing. Putting a 150 on the back will not change the dynamics of your bike. Half the guys I know run car tires on the back of there Vulcans (dark side) talk about changing the dynamics. Kawasaki does the same thing as honda. They put weird sizes on th...

Re: Rear tire size
I asked him about the availability and he said MSRP was $82 and the dealer could get it through Honda in a couple days as they are available. Dealer could adjust the price as they desired. Even though it wasn't said, it seems (to me) implied that we should only buy OEM tires and should buy them thro...

Re: Rear tire size
I called Honda support in Torrance, Ca (USA), they said there should be no problem with the ABS using the 150/70-13 vs the 140/70-13. BUT They will strongly advise against using the tire due to the fitment design because any tire of different size WILL change the dynamics of the vehicle in the event...

Re: Rear tire size
My local shop said the 150/70-13 was ok and they would mount it. That is the Silverwing tire and there are several choices.
I was surprised at the shop willingness to do this as they are anti mods on most tires/accessories.

Well, you aren't planning on washing clothes, never worry about fuel, and never be thirsty on that trip.
You got everything except Granny and her rocker.
I'm really looking forward to your report during your trip (and the pics).
