Re: Came of last night
I fell off last Friday when I skidded on a wet painted surface of the zebra crossing. This morning I went to take a look at the same road and then I realised that I could have come off because of leaves on the road left there by the rain. Anyway, I won't be taking that road again. Insurance is never...

Re: Average age of PCX/Forza owners?
I'll be 38 in December. Looks like the average range of PCX riders are in the 41 - 50 year old group. Makes me feel like a young pup too!

Re: So I just splurged
I've got the cheapest Yoshi exhaust and no regrets. I'm still pondering about removing the dB killer but after thinking of this quote from my physics teacher "If it works, leave it!" I decided to let the silencers remain, especially since the fuel economy has improved over the stock exhaust!

Re: Best pcx 150 exhaust?
I think I got the same exhaust as Reaper, the stainless steel with carbon end. I haven't refuelled the scooter yet but at 60-70kph, fuel economy is still good. On highways, I managed to hit 100kph too! Sound has more bass and with the silencer on, idling sound is about 84db (according to my sound me...

Re: 2015 service manual...
I got mine from www.repairmanual.com/ because it's cheaper than Helm's Inc. Helm was sending it by FedEx and cost about AUD220! Repair Manuals gave me the choice to take the cheapest shipping and cost about AUD90, though it'll take about 2 weeks instead of a few days.

How did he reset the ECU?
So all that was needed was disconnect the cable from the rear brake and reset ECU?
I wonder why disconnect the cable.

Is that the proper name for those things? I've been looking for something like that. I too, have problems filling up the rear tire because the hub keeps getting in the way!Theboybilly wrote:Just had a 'lightbulb' moment. I could use an angled valve extender......doh!!

I did a 2nd test, this time with my Garmin 60Cx GPS. The results is shocking indeed. 10% difference all the way! PCX speedometer reading is 10% more than GPS reading.

Reading this is making me regret getting my PCX too early. Then again, it's better than too late since my previous bike was giving problems after problems.

Re: PCX150 speedo accuracy?
I took my GPS and did a comparison with the PCX 150 speedo. From 60 kph to 90kph, there is discrepancy in speed. about 62kph on the speedo, the GPS is 58kph. 80kph on the speedo, it was about 70-73kph on GPS(I was going up on a slight incline) and going down the slope, 90kph on the speedo read 80 kp...

Re: Dunlop Scootsmart vs Michelin City Grips
So the tyres being round and black makes the variation in compounds used insignificant. Very astute observation. No, the fact that you are fitting them to an underpowered scooter which will barely crack 60mph means that any half decent tyre will suffice. Best to get the one which lasts longest, all...

I had Paypal problems, so I couldn't order the Ermax 25+ from same-same. Reluctantly, I went to my 2nd choice, the Givi D322 ST windshield from another website. A shame though. Was hoping to install it and enjoy it

Re: What is the range on the PCX?
One of these days, I will do an economy run. I am convinced that highway speeds do NOT produce the best economy. Also, riding two up cuts mileage, when both of us are over 200#. (for you brits, we total at least 30 stone) Also, giving it a bunch of gas now and then is part of the fun. Still, I aver...

Re: Doesn't like short breaks
I got my PCX 150 7 days ago and after over 200km of riding, I decided to check the voltage of the battery for the fun of it. I got 12.61V or 12.62V, at most! That is what it should be. The battery is only 12V!!! Don't charge it for christs sake! An alternator on a car puts out between 12-15v. This ...

For a new scooter (ok it's last year's model), I expect the battery to be a lot more than what I have at the moment. I'll check again tomorrow...

It's very inspiring. After reading this, I feel I have not made the wrong decision in choosing this scooter. I hope one day, I too can go around Australia with the PCX.
