Re: OBD2 on Honda PCX that works!
Off a link from the webpage shown in the 1st post, at the bottom of a software sales page it states: 1 Only reading of Keihin based ECUs is supported at this time. 2 Most (if not all) R8C based ECUs with a memory offset of 0x8000 can not be read via K-line. 3 Only works official HRC ECUs. No idea wh...

Re: Front flat tyre - only a few months old
Sometimes debris and nails collect on the shoulders of roads. Whether it be in a car or m/c it can be problematic to veer right onto a shoulder in order to get around a car slowing to turn left. This is why a higher percentage of nails are found on a cars' right side tires. Or the left depending on...

Re: OBD2 on Honda PCX that works!
For all the posts on a working OBD solution for the PCX, and there has been about three over the past few years, most except the starter of a thread seem to have no luck at all - even accounting for the differences in wiring of general OBD devices and the PCX (the data line is often on another pin, ...

Re: Front flat tyre - only a few months old
Often the leak is around the valve area rather than a real puncture - sometimes the stem but mostly the core. Worth having a look to see if all is well there.

Re: Frightened by Phillips. Grips with Fear
If I recall, PCX and other Japanese bikes do not use Philips by Jis (similar but can be ruined using normal screwbits). I purchased 3 special Jis screwdrivers for $30 but have never used them, instead use normal tools but go careful, which is fine if the screw is not in too tight or blue lock-tighte...

Re: PCX battery charging -
My bike is over six years old, out in the front yard all weathers, and sometimes does not get used in 2-3 weeks. Still on the original battery and spark plug and bike starts 1st time every time and still giving 120-130mpg in this cold weather. Looks like I had a good battery, but getting a bit conce...

Mel - still shows one multi-way connector and different colours - just to check, we are talking about the combi meter connector?

Re: Engine light on and Speedo not moving!
Earlier LED models circa 2013/14 apparently have a single 16-way multi-connector to the dash assembly so either that info is wrong or things have changed - you may find a circuit for newer models searching google.
If you can get them off easily then may be worth doing it, or just waggle them a bit

Re: How to remove cleaning spray stains from paint work...!?
I think mine is a gloss white, as far as I can tell....! It is. I seem to recall that white colour (pearl white?) comes in two parts for touch up - the paint and lacquer. I gave up trying to keep the panels spotless - with our grimy roads and stuff thrown up, the panels get chipped and small abrasi...

Re: Front flat tyre - only a few months old
Why didn't you just plug it? I read that after trying other means to fix a tyre, such as with the reamer, string and cement, most places do not want to attempt a plug style fix - maybe it's due to the hole being made wider or such. I did not ask if they would plug it - perhaps I should have. Still,...

Re: Front flat tyre - only a few months old
After a run of night shifts took the scooter for a tyre change but had to pump up from totally flat first. £70 supply and fitting of an original MCG rather than the new MCG 2 that I had on (of which £25 labour). A bit steep but it's the only place I could find that would fit MCG's - everywhere else ...

Re: Front flat tyre - only a few months old
Well, finally got round to repairing it about 4 days ago and thought I would check it today as back to work tomorrow. Sadly it was flat again :( - perhaps it went flat faster than before. The screw that came out was not very wide, maybe 3mm and I chose to use the larger of the two kinds of repair st...

Re: PCX 2019 Fual door won't open.
Things changed from older and new models - it's a lot harder to get some panels off the newer ones than the older ones i.e under dash l+r panels and centre panel - the older ones were more of the unscrew and remove whereas the newer ones have panels on top of panels so the need to work mid to front....

Re: Performance Spark Plug
Not changed my spark plug nor made any attempt to get it out - now 6+ years on and near mid 20k miles guess I should check. tbh, a bit worried it won't budge. Running fine and starting 1st time on stock plug - no need for after-market 'promise you the world' parts. Still getting 130mpg+ Just leave ...

I did wonder how long that part would last as it always seemed fragile at best, but your may be one of the few cases it actually failed.

Re: OTD price for 2019 PCX 150 w/ ABS?
Most UK dealers do not seem to budge on sales of recent reg scooters - only good offers on old stock they cannot sell. Probably due to not many coming back for services as so they make their money while they can.

Re: Most practical scooter for food delivery?
What do they use for pizza delivery in california - i.e make and type? I know scooters are a rare breed for normal travel in the US, people seem to need cars and 4x4's just to go across 5 lanes of highway to reach a shop on the other side of the road :) (what we find when visiting and in a hotel one...

Re: Cleaning your bike helmet
I just wipe the outside and clean the visor. The padding in my cheap helmets is not removable but still looks fine. In winter I wear a balaclava which keeps the inside clean, in summer I just freshen up a bit and wipe my head before I set off, so keeps the inside cleaner than it may have been I have...
