Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
I'm about buying new pcx, should I wait for new model or buy the current one ? And any one have leeks about when new model will arrives? Best be patient and get the one which you want. I'd only buy an older model used, then spend the left over on modifying the shit out of it. That is what I planned...

Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
Oh dear. To be honest I do still have a soft spot for the old shape but to be fair it is a pretty significant difference in the body which immediately makes the 1st gen seem dated.

Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
Thanks so much for all of the pictures. It sure is a beautiful scooter. It looks like the headlight really lights up the front while riding at night. A giant plus. I'm all ready to go buy a new PCX 150 but I just found out it is not sold in the Philippines which seems very odd to me. Maybe next yea...

Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
Update... 281km on 6l of fuel. Brakes feel better now they're bedding in. Bike feels like it has a bit more take off now the belt is bedding in also. I need to clean it still... Once I hit 500km I'll change the oil and take it for a hard blast before changing the variator and belt for something more...

Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
Thanks, at the moment I'm just enjoying riding it. ...although I'm still waiting to get my number plate (license plate). Yes it still get used daily, laws are weird here!! Today's update, hit a few pot holes and the suspension IS HARD, similar to my gsxr750. The Honda lead was a lot more forgiving w...

Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
I can try to ask but the sales people weren't at all helpful or welcoming in comparison to buying in the UK. They barely let me take it for a test drive, came with no fuel and I had to pay cash. When I asked they said that to return the bike within 500km for its first oil change. I'm on 160km now so...

Re: 2014 Honda PCX
The lights have a thing called a switch and can be turned off at anytime. Quite amazing
The handlebars definetly don't need to be straight for the seat to stay up.
And no, the visor probably not compatible with the. Earlier design.

Re: 2014 Honda PCX
A really novel and extremely feature is the seat stays up when you open it fully. How many times have you been rooting around holding the seat open with your head?

Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
Welcome! Great attitude about mods ... because you want to. Too many seem to get caught up with weighing the pros and cons of it. Why not do just because you want to and you enjoy it. That's what I do. Are accessories as inexpensive in Vietnam as they are in Thailand? Thanks, I've had enough cars a...

Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
Are the rear shocks any different from the '13 model? If you are unfamiliar with those I'll ask if they bottom easy or seem like an actual good shock instead of a stabilized spring? With 2.5 people on the bike we've encountered no problems. The shocks seem really cool. I'd prefer a mono-shock for s...

Re: Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
It's 1.30am here in Hanoi but i'll get some up tomorrow for all to see. All the lights on it are LED and are a huge improvement on pretty much any other bike on the market. The speedometer is electroluminescent backlit with the needle riding the outside diameter of the dial. Less space under the sea...

Re: 2014 Honda PCX
The remote alarm is only on the premium model. Other features for the premium model include blue less around the ignition key hole and matte effect paint. Not sure about overseas but here in Vietnam the cost is an extra $250... not really worth it to me. Matte paintwork is really overplayed and does...

Newbie with a fresh 2014 pcx
Evening all. Just thought I'd do the polite thing of introducing myself. I'm Damien, from the UK and now living I'm Vietnam. Have a lot of experience with modifying cars and bikes, wanted a pcx for a while but being used models are expensive with limited or no service I decided to buy new. Anyway, t...
