The one on my Forza is accurate to about 3% To correctly calculate fuel consumption, fill the tank to the brim, zero the trip meter, ride till the tank is nearly empty then fill the tank back to the brim. Time of day? I'd just run it on googlemaps as it will take into account the traffic. You can probably knock a bit of time off as it will base the calculations on a car not a scooter. Also, where you cross the North Circ. is a roundabout so not so much waiting I think.
