Or do none of that and just ride it.

Stick with the original wheels and tyres, they're fine.

It won't be.
Think facelifted NC750D Integra.
There simply isn't room for decent storage under the seat.

Mine had 19,500 miles when I traded it at just under three years old.
Very minimal maintenance, never broke down once.
1,000 mile oil change is very wasteful, no need to change it so often.

Try turning/jiggling the handlebars as you turn the key.
Check the key isn't bent.
Try the spare key.
Make sure the key is fully inserted.

They're cam locks and hold the plastic trim pieces on.

Nope, it eas an assembly issue, a number of Forzas did it within their first year, long before a coolant change.

Had mine done under warranty.

Depending on how deep the pitting is you may or may not get away with just taking the rust off and using a seal-mate on the seals.
If the fork tubes are pitted there are ways of filling them in.

Oh dear. 4000 miles in six years isn't anywhere near enough. Fuel system probably needs flushed through with fresh fuel. Beware snake oil additives, they can cause more problems. Forza had multiple fuel pump recalls, the replacement pumps had to be replaced. So if it wuz me, change fuel pump and lin...
