Are you suggesting using cardboard as a gasket? o_O For this application, yes. Cylinder head or exhaust manifold gasket... absolutely not. It's not like the belt cover gasket does anything much - just keeps dust out really. I think it just needs to be airtight so that there are no air leaks in the ...
