Yup. I live on a 4th floor apartment, with a mountain view, which is a few km away. Its devastating yet impressive watching the mountain in flames. There hasn't been a fire like this since 2000tbln930 wrote:Your fires finally hit our national news a bit ago. They really look bad.

Re: NC750x DCT
wei2go's motorcycle has a 32" seat height and high center of gravity. That may have a lot do with the lack of ease pushing it around. The Honda CTX 700N DCT has a 28" seat height and low center of gravity. Very user friendly! :D Cool. I just googled the ctx. I like the look of the naked v...

Re: NC750x DCT
Yup, but if the gradient is very slight, its not always easy to tell when you are in a rush. It was never much of an issue with the pcxgn2 wrote:Always park nose pointing uphill so you can roll it backwards downhill.

Re: NC750x DCT
That's an easy one. Without a doubt the PCX. The bike is only better on open roads and strong crosswinds. If I even park the bike on a hint of a decline, like any side of the road camber, It would take me half an hour to bounce it out in reverse. Ive been stuck like that twice now.

Re: NC750x DCT
I live pretty close to SAB breweries which is sited on an underground spring which the brewery uses to make their top notch beers. I believe the spring is historically public access, so SAB has to keep it open for public use. They have however made the collection place very nice, and people in the k...

Re: NC750x DCT
The DCT has two modes, drive and sport. I have been riding as conservatively as possible in drive mode since buying the bike, to try get the best fuel economy (I'm a bit of a cheap skate that way), but on red hill I tried out the sports mode. Sports mode is FUN!!! It actually felt like a 750cc bike,...

Why would it not be as reliable? Two clutch systems taking half the load each with much smoother transitions would equal much less wear and tear....

Re: NC750x DCT
So I have ridden this bike for a few days now and made my first adjustment today. The handle bar reach was a bit to much for my liking, so I undid the bolts and pulled the riser bar closer. I then proceeded to try get the controls to a more comfortable position but they seem to use a funny size bolt...

Re: NC750x DCT
I now have a red NC750x to match my red Honda PCX :D :D I started motorbiking two years ago on scooters, so this is my first "big" bike. I must say, its not as easy to handle as the PCX. I didn't realize how much I tip the bike over when I do a full lock U-turn and have almost dropped the ...

Re: NC750x DCT
Yes, the fuel economy isn't bad, but still not as good as the PCX
and with the ability to do longer rides, I probably will, which pushes the expenses up further

NC750x DCT
I'm busy negotiating with a private seller to part with his bike for R70000 ($7000). He has it advertised for R79000. Comes with fitted side and top box as well as a touring screen. I'm not 100% sure I want/need it though, as i'll have to sell the PCX to afford it: Need -sometimes the PCX just doesn...

Re: Side stand or center stand when you park your bike?
Concerning breaking the C-stand mount, hard not to get on your PCX first and then push off. I doubt any of you shove off any other way. Here is something someone brought to my attention that one doesn't think about... wind. Like from a non-stop express o_O NC700, nice Hogging two bays, not nice My ...

Re: First 2015 model in South Africa.
Nice one DC. I got my 2013 pcx150 a few months ago. I was very much up in the air whether to wait or not. None of the Cape Town dealers could tell me when they would bring in the new model. My first mod was a bigger windscreen and Kappa 42l top box. There's a shop called advrider in unit 7, Northgat...
