Re: High Oil Consumption. Options for Recondition or Repair.
Heavier oil will not cure the issue. If it is not leaking out, it is going past the rings or the vale guide seals. Does it smoke. If so is it worse after idling for while or while it is going down the road. Inspect the spark plug. If it looks normal, it is most likely the exhaust valve guide seal. ...

Re: High Oil Consumption. Options for Recondition or Repair.
Thanks for the replies. Problem isn't the consumption, it's the rate of change. It's doubling approx every 4000km. Currently using 15W50. Is there a better oil grade? No apparent drop in power to date. What kind of work is involved in replacing cylinder/piston? If you go to that trouble, get yourse...

Re: twisted crank shaft
Pcx's use/loose oil, doing 5000-10000km between oil changes is not recommended or at least check your dipstick every 1000km and top up oil. Not saying Kevrow anything about you here but just in general for everybody to be cautious of...

Re: Rear Shocks
Webike has some good Kitaco sets. Ive got Yss Drts just spring preload adjustable and they're awesome and cheapish. Much cheaper than fully adjustable Yss EuroG ones.. Kitaco is same looking shock as the Yss Drt and actually is best priced. Kitaco is also very good brand... https://japan.webike.net/...

Re: Problem with new NCY variator/clutch kit. Or just me?
Interesting... Webike is a good online distributor. I wonder what the problem was. I buy from Corsportusa.com and have since I purchased my wife's bike, which was bought in 2012. Never a problem, and they are closer, but they don't have some of the pretty accessories that Webike does. Mel, He didn'...

Re: ECU tuning pgm fi controller yuminashi
Im not sure what head you're running with the 164 cylinder. If you're still on 125 head then the water ports don't truly align between head gasket passages and head ports. That would give you issues with cooling. You could try using copper head gasket spray on the head gasket that will help you for ...

Re: Microsquirt Standalone for 2013 PCX 150 motor
I'm gonna bite the bullet on this. Since there's no available tuning standalone ecu for the 2013 PCX 150 motors, I'm going to try out the microsquirt standalone ecu. I was on a the Yuminashi piggy back and its good for the stock motor. Since I've BBK my motor to a TRP 175cc kit, the Yuminashi piggy...

Re: Battery need a new one??
do you guys have Stop/Start feature in the states? Using that feature on regular basis drastically reduces the life span of the battery. Terminals on the Shorai Battery are same as any other battery, flimsy they're not but i can't say for other brands out there as i never used any others.

Re: Battery need a new one??
Lithium battery, over 5 years running (no charge top ups) and no signs of demise. Can’t get normal batteries to last that long, 2-3years max if you’re lucky.

I’ve replaced my battery at least 5 years ago now after the original one went bust. I bought Shorai Lithium replacement. In all this time it never went flat, nor I needed to recharge it once. New pump arrived and installed. It came out fairly easy although going back in was bit tricky. All in all,it took me about 10-15 min just to replace the pumps but all up to remove all the tupaware and put it back on together was an hour job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsJiI6ARc18 https://www.yo...

Re: Aftermarket exhaust question
When one installs freer flowing exhaust then it’s the best to drop the variator weights down slightly to compensate for the loss of acelaration. That should fix your problem and perhaps make it even slightly faster of the line
