Hadn't noticed that noise, Iceman. What's it like?
iceman wrote:Wish my PCX purred - even with a close fitting helmet I dread hearing the noise it makes taking off or going 30-40mph. I've not idea how the belt/clutch can be very quite on most and noisy on others.

Re: 300 mile report
Hi homey, sounds like we're at about the same stage of relationship with our PCXs. Yes, we can go fast now! I love the thought of you riding after midnight, sounds like a great summer night experience. I too don't like my helmet. It's a modular one that I wear with the visor down. To me it substanti...

300 mile report
The odometer just turned 300 miles. Some observations: -I really like the scooter. Handles beautifully, adequate acceleration, very smooth and beautifully made. -My grown daughter says the red color looks like Iron Man. So now I need some yellow trim :D -I'm 6'2", 200 lbs, and the PCX 150 feels...

Re: Rear LEDs?
Thanks again, Mel46, good advice. I'm not experienced mechanically so I'll probably go for the low-hanging fruit, not planning further electrical mods. John The brake light wires start on the right side rear of the bike and go to the rear where the tail lights themselves are. You can tap into the wi...

Re: Rear LEDs?
Mel46, thanks very much for your thoughtful response. This sounds over my head! My thought is just to tap into the wires running to the brake light. Do you think that would work? Again, thanks for your help. John The rear wire bundle is on the right side by the passenger handles. Run the knight ride...

Brake light wire colors-what do they mean?
Hi, I'm installing Knight Riderz lcd brake lights on my PCX 150. According to the instructions, I must connect the following wires from the Knight Riderz module: Connect black wire to ground Connect blue wire to running light power source Connect red wire to brake light power source. The wires to th...

Re: Rear LEDs?
Mel46, any thoughts on how best to wire these? Thanks! I have the Knight Riderz sequential light attached to my license plate. If you get nothing else, get this light. It goes back and forth all the time while you ride, and then it flashes 5 or 6 times before going steady on when you hit the brakes....

homey, thanks for the tip. The screw is in place. I'll remove and reinstall the panel, making sure the screw is tight, and see how that works.
I had a similar problem on my Yamaha c3. May have to do with how I place my foot (clumsily!)

Re: Introduction; learning to love my 2013 PCX 150
Hi, gn2, I agree that thinking about which way to turn the handlebars is not what we want. But as a new user, with most of my experience driving being in a car, I found it tremendously helpful to be taught to "push left go left, push right go right" (the applied essence of "counterste...

Welcome John... wave Thanks for your welcome, homey! Yes, the example you give below is what I mean by countersteering: a. push left, lean left go left It's intellectually confusing but works like a charm btw John may I ask how you like riding a scooter after riding motorcycles earlier in life. As an introduction, I'm 64 years old, live in the rural mountains of Colorado, and got a 2013 PCX 150 about a week ago. Since I haven't ridden...

Thanks for your warm welcome, Whitenoise! I'll think about that windscreen. Most of the time I don't expect to drive fast enough to need one... Re: Advice please on purchase and warranty- 2013 PCX 150
Bought the scooter today. Decided on getting the extended warranty. Two years was just $50 more than one year so got that. Rode it home from the dealer, about 55 miles. Happy and impressed with the handling. I felt uncomfortable much over 55 because of wind buffeting. Good bike for the back roads ne...

Re: Advice please on purchase and warranty- 2013 PCX 150
...Thank goodness for the extended warranty. So I would say that it is up to you as to whether you believe in the product enough to not get the extended warranty, but I would, especially since the factory warranty is about to expire. That's very helpful, Mel46. Did you get more than one year extend...
