Re: PCX juddering when moving off
My PCX was also shuddering when setting off, it got gradually worse and worse from around 1,000mls up to 2,500mls - Always worst when starting from cold. After reading this thread I have been avoiding slipping the clutch as much as possible, setting away from a standstill reasonably quickly and not ...

Wrong spec engine oil used.
My first service was overdue (880mls) so rushed out to local shop and bought some oil which seemed half decent - Castrol Act-Evo 4T 10w/40. Changed it yesterday - all went well. I've since realised it meets jaso ma-2 not Jason mb and is just a very basic oil. I'm thinking it won't do any harm as lon...

It's a tax disc holder, I haven't bothered putting the tax disc inside as they are redundant as of 1st October. Will be removing the holder shortly.homie wrote:Nice! candy apple... lovely child.
What is that device down by your disc brake? Is that one of those security devices you guys talk about.

Re: Winter riding
I've fallen off once in 15 years - last year! On black ice, fractured a couple of ribs and hobbled around for a good 4-5 weeks - I'll be borrowing the wife's car if there's any chance of black ice.

Re: Pick up new 2015 spec PCX125 on Wednesday
I'm loving the PCX so far, mpg is averaging 128mpg on my daily 24mile commute which I'm very happy with. I can get 135mpg but only if I make a conscious effort to be gentle with the throttle which isn't as fun! I tried uploading a pic direct from iPhone but it's to large to be accepted

Re: Pick up new 2015 spec PCX125 on Wednesday
I'm very giddy about picking scooter up tomorrow - far more exited than a 39 year old father of two should be! Luckily the weather forecast also looks reasonable for the next few days. What kind of clothing do you all wear, I've gone for a open face helmet(a first for me) armoured jacket and gloves ...

Re: Pick up new 2015 spec PCX125 on Wednesday
hoping the PCX will top 100mpg(UK gallons!) Oh it will, there is a guy claiming incredible fuel mileage on the 125. Don't forget the all cowling/fairing design on PCX makes for an easy wipe down, the likes of which only whitenoise and myself can REALLY appreciate. We don't "ride hard and put u...

Re: Pick up new 2015 spec PCX125 on Wednesday
Wow - less than £2400 OTD for a new model - that's a steal! Congrats! http://badges.fuelly.com/images/sig-uk/299277.png The dealer reckoned they were making less than £150 selling at that price, but they are close to a sales target where they get some money back from Honda so were willing to do a d...

Re: Pick up new 2015 spec PCX125 on Wednesday
I've always liked Honda's, it came down to either a CBF125 or a PCX. They were both exactly the same price but the underseat storage and lack of chain / sprocket maintenance in the winter swayed me towards the PCX. My last commuter bike - a 2008 CG was averaging 89mpg I'm hoping the PCX will top 100...
