Re: Oil change

I can only speak to my experience. My PCX has 24k on it. Change my oil every 3k, including the filter screen cleaning. Then I fill the oil to just above the cross hatching by 1/8th to 1/4 of an inch on the dip stick. I check my oil every fill up. Never had any issues, bike runs as good as new. I sug...

Re: Today's Quick Pic

I haven't read this whole thread but so far I don't see anyone asking this question: What is that thing attached to the back of the seat area just before the tail box? It reminds me of the containers used to carry bike papers in other countries, except it looks like you have 2 of them. That I made ...

Re: Today's Quick Pic

Spring is here! Took the muffs and skirt off today, super warm and a full week of sun ahead! Took my oldest daughter out for a ride to catch the sunset here in Nanaimo BC. Yes I know my bike is dirty, but my daughter plans to give her a sponge bath this weekend. :D Nice pix...thanks! Probably been ...

Re: dumbest thing ever...

JohnL, your experience jogged my memory. A couple of years ago, I promised my daughter a xooter ride. An adult size push scooter. We would go as soon as I finished splitting some firewood. I dropped a chunk on my 2nd toe from my baby one. I was determined to keep my promise in spite of the pain. At ...

Ps. how do you post with an icon? Thanks 'scooterpappy' 8) I like that. Not sure I understand your question about an icon. You have your avatar, forum benefactor badge and your signature, I don't think there is anymore you can get with this format. Sorry I was not very clear. I notice when folks po...

Re: my new 2016 honda metro

My first scooter was a 2009 Honda Metro, or Jazz in Canada. Put 28,000 km on that baby with flawless performance. Sold her for a PCX so I could get out of town.

Re: Regular Long Distance Riding

I think nothing of doing a 500km road trip for a day. Of the 24,000km I have on my scoot, at least 6,000 of them are from such trips.

For me I would think nothing of it. Just go for it. :D

Re: 2009 Honda Silverwing 600cc . good deal to buy?

Good, probably for the best then. Something else catch your eye? :D Well after careful analysis, I realized the PCX really suits my lifestyle. I plan to put it on the back of my camper, so weight is a consideration. I have done some mods to it so it really goes. It would be nice to have more power,...

Re: YSS rear shocks installed - report

Anyone know the torque specs on the shock bolts? I clicker wrenched top oem nut to 40lbs. Unclear on the supplied but & bolt for bottom I just used blue loctite & clicked to 20lbs. Does that seem fine or am I overthinking it? Thanks. I picked up the red ones with the reservoir I don't know ...

2009 Honda Silverwing 600cc . good deal to buy?

Hello all, I have a chance to buy a 2009 Silverwing, mint condition, 16000km for 4400.00 asking price. Origional owner and private sale. Does anyone know what the market value would be. Trying to figure out if it is a good deal or not. Thanks in advance.
