Re: Roll Call

MikeP, Those cows don't seem to want to heed the 6 foot separation requirements. You might do well to avoid them. Social distancing is important. You may have to yell at them about their attitude toward this. I have tried to get close to them, but I think they can smell the BBQ sauce in my ba...

Re: Roll Call

Old Grinner’s pictures of cows earlier in this post sent my nose crazy.
I had to go find some after work. Love the smell of cows.
Pretty much the same here as other places, 6 ft apart, many places closed or by appointment only.
Makes me happy to be a gravel truck driver. Isolated workspace.

Re: anybody riding?

Work cancelled yesterday, so I had to get out and relax. Something about curvy roads and good tunes. No bugs in my teeth, but smiling nonetheless.

Re: anybody riding?

Finally got out for a day ride. Southern part of Vancouver Island, pictures are from the Port Renfrew area. If one can navigate the divots in the road it is a beautiful ride. Oddly there was hardly any traffic.

Re: PCX150 Taller Windscreen

I have the National Cycle on my 2015. It came with mirror extensions for a wider spacing. For me I prefer it over my Givi screen on my 2013 pcx. It is more streamlined and has a cleaner look.

Re: kymco xciting 500Ri a keeper or sell it?

Good news: If it starts easily on a cool/cold day - you have one of the good ones. Bad news: it is undisputedly the most trouble prone scooter in all of the Kymco line-up...a generally bullet proof brand. Good news: it is pretty hard to DIY sort out if it begins to fail - so don't worry about it, j...

I should have mentioned there is zero rust anywhere. Was a fair weather bike.

kymco xciting 500Ri a keeper or sell it?

I picked up a kymco xciting 500Ri 2008 maxi scooter. 14,000km, tires Michelin city grips 75% left. Newer belt. Gentleman 83, lost controll of it when putting on stand and it fell over, scratching the plastics on one side. But not too bad. So he decided to sell it. Paid 1000. For it. I am not familli...

Re: Bike Lift for ease of maintenance

Thanks for the tip honkerman. It is tied down across the back end, but I agree 2 straps tied to hooks would be better.

you you, you have a good eye for detail.

Re: Bike Lift for ease of maintenance

First time really using my bike lift. Getting the pajamas off the 2015 pcx was interesting to say the least. Checked the valves, too tight so adjusted. Changed oil and final drive. Now installing driving lights. Thats the reason for all the plastics off. I want to tie into the switched ignition. Onl...

One last thing, just my opinion, stick with Honda factory parts. Saves compatibility issues.

Re: Oil going low

Looks like you are from the UK judging from your link. The Kit you linked has it all. I also included a timing chain, timing chain tensioner as I hear they are prone to go after 50k km. But the kit is a solid start. Just source out a supplier for the odd bits and pieces you may need while doing the ...

Re: Oil going low

Retry, your not alone in your experience. I have a 2013 150 PCX, now up to 51,000km or about 30,000miles. I find the need to top up my oil to the sum of about 250ml every 1000km. Or 50ml per fil up roughly. I recognize my riding habbits have contributed to the wear, but figure since I just love ridi...

Groan....I just checked my valves on the 2015 pcx. Turned the nut clockwise.

Now I have to pull it apart and do it over again!

Rolled over 50,000km on my 2013 PCX

Did a 400km ride today on Southern Vancouver Island. Lots of divits in the road between Sooke and Port Renfrew. Felt like I was back in the gravel truck again. Oh well gave the suspension a workout.

Re: Heidenau K66 4-Season Scooter Tire

I have a question for you all. To or not to put Heidenau K66 4 season tires on my 2013 PCX sized 120/70-14 and 140/70-14 I can only get these tires in this size in Canada. Why I dont know. We are the land of snow and ice. What I know is a few members here have installed this size before and are plea...

Forgot the ramp, its a 2 x 10 plank thats 6ft long so it fits under the table when not in use. Nice easy grade to roll the bike up on.

Re: Bike Lift for ease of maintenance

I have grown tired of rolling on the ground to service my scooter so I designed a custom lift based upon my needs. It can be adjusted to any height if desired. I have two scoots now, a 2013 with 47,000km on it (bought it new) and a 2015 with 3000km. The first one is due for brakes, brake fluid flush...
