Hey Homie! I watched that video and thought 'I know that voice?!'
Then I realised I watched your PCX panel removal videos when I recently fitted heated grips - they were so useful! Thanks a lot! I found them on youtube instead of this site so hadn't made the connection until now.

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)
I suppose the pressure's off if you do your CBT as long as you can live with the L plates! To be honest, I wouldn't bother doing your full test on a 125 anyway. It's exactly the same test (and price) doing it on a bigger bike to get your full A licence. Once you're used to the gears I'd have a chat ...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)
Hi Jojo, new bike's looking good. Are you doing your test on it or taking a bigger bike? If it's on the grom, I'd plan on doing it well before June. The waiting lists for tests can be quite long, and it seems quite easy to fail - I was lucky and passed first time but when I was reading up on it, fai...

Re: Oxford OF772 Heated grips.
Well - I had a quick go at fitting these at the weekend and failed miserably! I've got the grips and bought a relay too, with my plan being to wire it to the battery using the relay linked into the lights or whatever else I can find that's only on with the ignition (is that a switched live?). I've g...

Thanks for posting - I'll give these a go.
Could also do with a stump grinder. Think it was £150 a day to hire one though so I'm learning to love those stumps!

Re: R.I.P Fonda
Yeh, I don't like the look of that road at all. The camber, the shiny surface and can imagine it being very slippery in the rain with diesel. I commute into Liverpool every day and when it rains, the amount of diesel patches right the way along my entire journey is scary.
Glad you're ok.

My mum thinks bikes are dangerous so she won't sew any badges on my leather waistcoat. That rules me out!

Re: Warranty - Diy service or let dealer do it?
I just paid £140 for an independent garage to do the 2500 service (including valves). Didn't even check how much Honda would be - I just assumed a lot more (and it's about an hour away from me too). They reckon the steering head bearings are 'notched' and the fork seals may have gone too, so I've go...

Re: Best cosmetic improvement...
This evening I had to meet up for a family birthday straight from work. If I was in the car it would have taken me 20-30 mins on the motorway (as it did for everyone else!). It took me over an hour on the pcx. I'd think carefully about whether you want to stick to a1 in the long run. 15bhp's fine a ...

Re: Best cosmetic improvement...
When I was trying to find out about doing the licence, it seemed very geared towards young riders. Most of the information about it seemed to be written with the assumption that I was 16, starting off with a CBT for a 50cc, then explaining the next steps when I'm 17, 19 and then 21 (I think?) and th...

Whoa! Sorry about the picture size. I'd resized them to meet the upload requirements, but probably should have gone a bit smaller than that!

Best cosmetic improvement...
I've just made a massive improvement to the looks of my bike.
Before.... After.... Well worth the £600 it cost me!
(could do with a clean though I suppose)

Well, that girlfriend won't see me on it so it is an option! Didn't realise they kept on making them! Could never understand why they were making 100cc scooters instead of 125s.

Re: How long have you been scooting?
I've always liked bikes and very nearly got a scooter when I was 17 - until I sat on a Peugeot Speedfight 100 and my girlfriend at the time laughed saying it was too small for me, so that put me off for a while! My wife has always hated motorbikes saying they're too dangerous, so never considered ge...

Re: Rear Brake Drum Squeal/Creak
Thanks for the fix - I've got a similar issue, but I think mine's the brake shoes and/or dust in the drum. I'll give this a go first in case it saves me from taking it all apart!

Aha, thanks both. I might give that a go when I have some free time - or I might just be lazy and decide that the squeak's not so bad after all!

Thanks Fish. Is there a disc for the rear? I thought it was some kind of drum thing?

Squeaky rear brake - anything I can do?!
Hi all,
My rear brake now squeaks when being applied. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
Coming up to my 2500 service soon so I suppose I can ask the garage (when I find one) to have a look if needs be.
