Re: Heated Jacket (HomeDepot?)
Every Fall I tell myself to buy some cold weather gear. Sale at Home Depot heh? $199.00 https://cozywinters.com/heated-clothing/ I was procrastinating every year too WN. I'll still tough it out with a hand warmer stuffed in my gauntlet gloves for a while. If you've no need to walk the dog or shovel...

Re: Heated Jacket (HomeDepot?)
Going back to see if I can find the beanie. Say's its thin and wicks moisture ideal for comfort under a hard hat. How much difference would a motorcycle helmet make? Plus I see there are gloves available and they also have possibilities for scooter riders 8) Jmu5sihfSDE Seems to me the motorcycle in...

Re: Heated Jacket (HomeDepot?)
Is that red thing the battery that warms that jacket? How does it connect? Does it have a special connector? Yes, battery has a pocket on the left rear hip (8 o'clock low) You don't get the large charger base seen in this video and you don't need it with the latest battery design (it's all in one) ...

Re: Heated Jacket (HomeDepot?)
It looks to me like when you are out and about on the scooter you can just plug it into the scooter. It has a USB cable, correct? The USB is power out for accessories, drains the battery Mel. Cell phone, action cam, charge your vape, whatever takes the low voltage trickle out typical of a USB port ...

STOP and FRISK?? what is this 1939 Nazi Germany ?? Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me ???? Touch it and find out lady ! Stop and frisk worked before for Chicago but now we are conceal carry in Illinois so I don't see how it can work again because everyone is packing. It's ...

Re: Heated Jacket (HomeDepot?)
Had a chance to try it out on the scooter. First the Pro's... 1. High collar that zips up nicely under your helmet. 2. Easy access to illuminated temperature controls on your chest (red-white-blue) high-medium-low. Visible in the rear view mirror. 3. Long tail but not so low you are sitting on it, h...

Heated Jacket (HomeDepot?)
I had to try it! There is no armor but its excellent quality construction. Looks good enough to wear to Church but costs less than a pair of decent heated gloves. On sale at HomeDepot NOW! Comes in Milwaukee red too. Go see this 8 hour heated jacket but don't buy it on Amazon or you'll pay 70usd mor...

Re: they say most accidents...
I was thinking an 800 pound bike might have had some trouble in the same situation. I think 400lb is my maximum two wheeler limit. It would have been totally unremarkable youyou if I was on the 250 pound scooter probably wouldn't even have mentioned it.

they say most accidents...
are within a mile of your home... why is this? Is it because people are too comfortable, too sleepy, too anxious to get home? Anyhow I nearly saw mine yesterday on a corner 2 blocks away. Typical situation where you enter a multiple lane traffic signaled intersection and someone turns left not seein...

Re: Cog belt vs. Smooth v belt ??
Seems unlikely they would make something that would last longer, cost the same and eventually lose money for the manufacturers but apparently they did.

Re: Damaged new drive face when torquing. Is this an issue?
As a side note, hopefully I didn't do any unseen damage to the shaft with my lack of mechanical ability while trying to force this together without the washer. Everything looks okay though. Typically a nut would be the softer steel over any shaft it would thread on. Minimal damage should be found o...

Re: Damaged new drive face when torquing. Is this an issue?
I broke some fins. I was told to go to the opposite side and try to break those fins about the same as was on the other side.   that's funny Mel to the original poster; Go get another face and use a large oil filter removal tool (the rubber band type) The band will take abuse but yo...

Re: Givi windscreen question
I like these from my local hardware store.
Stoner perfectly moistened invisible glass wipes. Pull one wipe from container use first on helmet visor, then mirrors, then windscreen and headlamp area, finish with running boards.
Toss in the trash... 28 rides per container

Re: Kymco Like 150i ABS - Better than PCX or not?
I don't see a Kymco forum with a dedicated loyal following membered with characters like GN to advise and youyou to spell check so no thanks. Look for a healthy help forum before you buy any motorbike or things can get boring and real expensive to maintain.

Re: Highway Pegs - PCX
So, is this a Forza or a PCX? It's in the Forza 300 section. I'm confused - my wife says I am all the time, so no big deal...…...   yes its complicated. Future searchers will never find this. I suggest admin do something... anything at this point. Rename it, move it, separate it. We...

Re: Highway Pegs - PCX
It's a curious Stateside thing. On bikes most of the rest of the world move the pegs to the rear, if they move then at all. Honestly I've never ridden with highway pegs on any motorcycle but yes every other biker you see on the road can lay back and put his feet up spread eagle and cruise all day l...

Re: Highway Pegs - PCX
This should have its own searchable thread 'Highway Pegs'
I would call this an improvement on PCX comfort and riding position.
Is it aesthetically pleasing? no, but neither is a tall windscreen and you guys love those well done sir

Re: Highway Pegs - PCX
I agree with George that was FUN! A person would really have to want it bad for the effort but Daham nice work! One of the down sides of scooters over all other bikes is the running boards concerning your dirty, muddy or oily boot riding on them. I find myself wiping down the runners and windscreen ...

Re: PCX Torque Values
There are 5 pages of torque values in the SM, just pm me and I will send them all to you. i would not torque the oil drain bolt, too risky and not worth striping out when you can just check for a leak. Tighten by hand then 1/8 to 1/4 turn with a box end... check later.
