Re: Two 2014 Forzas at my dealer
A local dealer north of Kansas City is advertising a new Forza, non ABS, for $4799. When I bought my PCX, one of the dealers was pretty up front about how they can discount something as low margin as a scooter. Basically Honda will have a rebate to the dealer, and they sometimes have some flexible r...

Re: Final Drive oil change??
Good question. I haven't done mine yet.
You can usually get a funnel with a long flexible tube and small tip somewhere like WalMart. But you're right, a syringe would probably work better.

Re: Final Drive oil change??
When you look at the final drive case, basically just forward of your rear brake lever arm in the area of the rear wheel: There are three main bolts apparent on the case. Two of them are close together, and one by itself below those and a little left when you are looking at the case from the left si...

Re: Slow take off from stop till 15-20mph
My first inclination would be to throw the stock rollers back in there in place of the sliders and see if that fixes it. Chances are far higher that it involves the sliders than, say, the O2 sensor. Could the O2 sensor be bad? Sure. But attack the more likely things first, rule them out, then dig in...

Welcome. I know you only have two or three trees in OK, but watch out for wet leaves on the road this time of year. Nasty buggers on occasion. That's a joke by the way, the trees part. I'm not that far north of you. I'm from Pennsylvania originally, where they have real trees, not these bushes they ...

Understood. That would seem to indicate to me that it's not an issue with the mechanical linkage i.e. the grip or throttle cable or throttle body housing.

Re: Rubbin noise when coming to standstill. Hot rubber smel
Sit on the scooter, engine off, in your driveway. Slowly walk forward while a helper watches the rear tire. Carefully look for anything contacting the tire. Something might be rubbing that you can't see yourself because without weight on the scooter, the rear suspension is not compressed enough to r...

Never heard it. With the bike off, and on the stand, see if you can replicate it and pinpoint the source. Handgrip? Throttle body? etc.

Biofuels are a great idea in some cases. Corn, however, is a relatively poor choice from which to produce ethanol to use for vehicle fuel. You use an incredible amount of petroleum to generate a gallon of ethanol. Farm machinery isn't solar powered, last I checked. Add to this huge amounts of water ...

Best deal I've found on a decent quality top case. I bought it myself and have it on the PCX in my garage currently. Easy to mount to the OE Honda accessory rack which you can find on Amazon for around $30-ish.

Two people: Person one buys extended warranties on all vehicles and big ticket items over the span of their life. Person two never does this, and puts the money they would have spent on said warranties in an escrow account. 50 years later, person #2 will almost always come out ahead, statistically. ...

The interesting thing, looking at the underside of the seat, is that you can see that all someone has basically done is perform the humpectomy many people do to the stock seat. You can see where the plastic humps have been cut out, and then someone just basically reupholstered the factory seat pan.

Re: Best way to get a pcx into the bed of a pickup truck?
As long as you're careful, it should be pretty easy to get a cycle as small and light as the PCX into a truck. Sometimes it's useful to back the truck up to a small hill so that the tailgate is now more even with the ground, and the ramp is now parallel to the ground. Walk the scoot across carefully...
