Re: new here
Welcome. PCX seems to be popular in the UK. I haven't seen another one on the road in the USA, but we have poor vehicular taste here.

I work in a medical field. I can attest from experience that education has little effect, if any, on the behavior of the average person. This is especially true if any effort or inconvenience is involved on their part.
Good for Michigan, though, for trying, at least.

Re: I lost the Nut for the Screw to hold in the battery!
Any dedicated hardware store should have a section with bins of all kinds of nuts, bolts, and assorted small bits. You should be able to get just about any size small nut and bolt made out of anything you want. Steel, stainless, galvanized, aluminum, nylon, brass, you name it. The store near my hous...

Nice install.
Personally, I want the time I'm riding the scoot to be one of the ever fewer moments where I'm not tethered to a phone. I'll throw it in the box under the seat and check it when I get to my destination.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: Rattling when throttle pulled
Some ideas, assuming you can't find a panel that is obviously loose that you can manually repair... Dry lubricant spray on the affected area. Sometimes this will quiet squeaky plastic parts rubbing together slightly. Velcro dots or tape, the soft half not the rougher hook half. You can generally buy...

Re: I Wanna White One
Body parts for pre 2015 are readily available in the USA. I just ordered some last week, came in a couple of days to the dealer. I think he means 2015...due to them being so new, body panels not widely available until 12/2014.

Re: I Wanna White One
Speaking of replacement body panels, I was surprised to see how cheap panels are for the 2013s. I ordered the tail panel and right lower panel and they were roughly $20 US each. I expected them to be far more expensive, especially since they come prepainted. Hopefully, in time, prices for the later ...

Re: Have you had the clutch bearing failure yet?
Yeah, the thing that gets me about extended service contracts is that most of them, even branded by the manufacturer, are actually administered by some 3rd party. If I knew that Honda Financial was underwriting my warranty, I'd maybe think about it. But it seems these days, its always some third par...

Re: Have you had the clutch bearing failure yet?
So correct me if I'm wrong...
The lesson from this whole bearing thing is that having an extended warranty means exactly zero. Seems to me that you might as well take that money and put it on red or black at your local casino...you'd have a better chance of seeing a return on investment.

Re: Scoot won't start...Please Help
By the way, there are several generations of Optimate chargers out there, and I think they all work about the same. I think mine is the 3 or 4, can't remember. I'd find the one you can get the best deal on, i.e. I wouldn't worry about buying the latest 6th gen unit if I could get the 4th gen for $20...

Re: 2015 MPG readout accurate?
I'm assuming that the technology that calculates MPG on the PCX is the same used in many automobiles. Probably uses fuel flow data from the fuel injection, time, distance. Having owned a number of cars with such computers, I've found them to be pretty consistently about 5% optimistic. This seems to ...

Re: Scoot won't start...Please Help
You can charge the battery without removing it. I recommend an Optimate charger. If you're going to leave the scooter sit for more than a week unused, attack the charger leads and just let the charger plugged in to trickle charge the battery. I've owned several charger / maintainers, and this one is...

A small rubber or wood wheel chock might not hurt if you were concerned about the scooter rolling.

Re: Knight Riderz Sequential brake light
I'd drill a tiny hole in the frame that would end up under the light bar, so hidden. Then another tiny hole in plastic fender just enough to run the wires through. From there, it's an easy run up inside the rear of the fender. There are three main access points to the tail section where the brake li...
