Re: Looking at getting a Forza!

Thanks for your reply especially the MPG data! Any reason for the wild range? Highway trips? I see it dropped to 57.5 at one point, do you know why? Your average of 64 sounds a lot better than the 51 I am currently getting on my Burgman. In the summer I was getting just shy of 60 but it dropped once...

Re: Mid-Size scooter video w/Forza

Thanks for the link to this video. Yet one more review that makes me want a Forza. I think by "buzzing" he was making reference to the RPMs of the engine, in other words it revving high. I wish I knew how tall the guy riding the Forza is. It looked like it fit him well with plenty of room ...

Re: Scooters are COOL

I know what you mean. I have suffered painful episodes of gout for the last four years, which would sometimes have me on crutches and unable to drive a manual transmission car or with my latest episode a few weeks ago, any car at all. But scootering is so easy. My dad suffers from gout attacks and ...

Re: Looking at getting a Forza!

Never got definitive answers on a couple of my questions plus I have a few more. #1 How do you guys like the combined brakes? My Burg has them too but I am not real impressed. Of coarse Honda may have done a better job with their design. #1b Does the front brake engage all the time or only once you ...

Re: Scooters are COOL

Scooters also offer an advantage to people with disabilities. I busted my leg{shattered would be a better descriptor} a couple of years ago and have some disability in it. It is almost impossible for me to get my leg over a gas tank and shifting is difficult and even somewhat painful. A scooter solv...

A bit over the top and looks bad on the silver paint. The wrap looks to have been done well though. Wrap is pretty easy to remove.

Re: Yamaha XMax 250. Will it be sold in the states?

I doubt it will come here at all. I think there are two reasons why. First, scooter sales in the USA are very small and dropped a couple of percent from last year. Second the XMax is built in Europe and that would make it very expensive to import and sell in the USA. If they set up a plant in Asia t...

Re: 2014 Forza

WOW! o_O Wish I could find a deal like that but it won't happen here. On a new one the best I could get would be MSRP plus tax/title/license. If it was a left over they might go a little bit lower but not much. Of coarse they have never had a Forza and probably won't since scoots don't sell very wel...

Re: Paint job

Vinyl can be removed even if primer is used. However cleaning up the primer isn't as easy and you need to test the primer first as it can react with some plastics or paints. The 3M primer 94 is only recommended for 3M vinyls. Some other brands have their own primers and other brands say to not use t...

Re: i think something is wrong with my lights

Those are turns on Asian and European models. However in the USA they are too close together to be legal, so Honda added the extra amber ones. Here is a picture of a PCX from the Honda Japan site. Note that it does not have the little stick out amber turn signals. http://www.honda.co.jp/PCX/common/i...

Higher octane will not give better performance - it will actually do the opposite.

Re: Paint job

Yep I loved my Zuma and now have it back. I sold it to a friend but he got a job in a new town and so he sold it back to me since he couldn't take it with him. I will try to sell it in a month or two once it starts warming up. Currently I am riding a 2006 Burgman 400 but it is bigger than I need. I ...

Re: Paint job

I have done some vinyl wrapping and the 3M DiNoc is the best. The carbon fiber not only looks cool but has a neat texture too. I wrapped the front fender on my old Yamaha Zuma. http://www.zumaforums.net/phpBB3/download/file.php?id=17242&t=1&sid=f22d5b7f9c15efb2a86f2873b61cc372 http://www.zum...

Re: Careful in the wet

Tires can make a big difference. The stock tires on my old Zuma were horrible but once I fitted Pirelli SL26s it gripped much better, dry and especially wet. It doesn't seem like he is going all that fast but something happened. One thing I do wish he and many others would do is learn to edit! we wa...

http://www.msf-usa.org/library.aspx The Motorcycle Safety Foundation has some nice and free manuals on the basics. Best thing is to take a course if they have them near you. Practicing in a large but empty parking lot is good too. You should practice basic braking but also emergency braking. Learnin...

Be sure to not rush it! I did that with my busted leg and had to pay for it with 9 months in a wheelchair. I know it sucks not being able to ride but take a chill pill and wait it out.
