Re: Experimental report of a trip through Thailand
Are you Thai? If not, where are you from? I live in the downtown core of BKK. Actually I am from Germany, but living in Thailand for about 20 years now. Ok, back to the report. The first day was quite hot, and I had to wear more clothes than you expect at these temperatures. The good point is, I go...

Re: Experimental report of a trip through Thailand
I hope this kind of post is in line with the forum rules, otherwise please let me know. I also love the Glympse link through your web page. Good stuff!! After the trip I will append a posting about how to do this :D and here comes one more picture, more to follow. But now the break is over, still s...

Experimental report of a trip through Thailand
The plan is a trip of about 4000 km through Thailand, from Phuket to the North-East and back again. I planned to do this trip for last year, actually. Since the weather was quite bad I had to postpone it and now it will be true! The PCX is running well, she did about 25,000 km already. For this trip...

Re: How cold will you ride?
The coldest I experienced here was about 10 C, that was a few years ago when I went up to Doi Inthanon (more than 2500 meters) on a two-stroke bike. The last kms were a pain, because the bike had no almost power any more and the hills are really steep. Here in Phuket the coldest in winter is about 2...

What about some nail polish? Should be the cheapest way to do it, and there are many colors available...

Re: Side stand or center stand when you park your bike?
I always have a bad feeling about the center stand. For me, it is too easy to push it from the stand, especially if the front wheel is down a few inches - above a drain for example. I fear the bike will jump down on it's own. I use CS only for long time parking to take the weight off the tyres. When...

Re: turn signal cancel devices
Just use a relais with a beeper. I got one for a few Baht, and it is installed as replacement for the original one. Since I have it I never forgot to turn off the indicator. Honda uses it on some bikes, so you should get an genuine part if you want it.

Service @ 21.000 km for my PCX 150
Today was the day for the first "big" service on my lovely Red Rat. After the morning rain I took her to the garage about 11 am, about 3 pm it was done. A new belt, break pads (front), spark plug, Variator Cones (Driven Pulley), several gaskets. Engine oil changed. All together, including ...

No work to do, no rain, so I took my cache mobil for a ride. An FTF was the reward for a few hours of geocaching.

Re: New White PCX 150
Not sure if the middle bit pulls out, otherwise looks like a rivet. Don't try to pull it out. Push it in, it is the same like at the battery cover of the 2013. After you push the middle in about 5 mm you can pull the beast out. To remount, push back the center, insert the plug and push the center i...

Yeah, we had the first rain since January, albeit a few minutes only. Cooling down a bit, at night "freezing" 30 centigrades.

Re: New Lights for Honda PCX
I put two of these in, total cost 400 Baht. The difference is stunning. Power rating is 35/35W, I think my battery can live with this, and I am happy on my night rides on Phuket's hilly roads with almost no lighting.

FritzPinguin is in Phuket, presumably would have got his accessories from Power By PCX: My ears are dingling, even though it is quite late... No, I bought the buzz-flasher in a small motorbike shop in Nong Khai, and later I went for one more (gift for a friend) to a Honda Shop in Phuket. The one fr...

They came like this, and included is a lifetime warrenty. I guess it expires as soon as the tire tread is gone. That's when Pirelli changes to Blankini (or Boldini).gokidd wrote:The Diablos look great on there!
Did you highlight the lettering in yellow or is that standard? Either way, NICE TOUCH.

Re: Got new Pirellis on my PCX150 ...
What is the climate like in Thailand this time of year in Phuket? Average temperature around midday near 30, nighttime about 25. Sea temperature quite constant at 27. Little chance of rain, maybe one short shower per week. Humidity quite high, but tolerable. Perfect for scootering around, be carefu...
