Re: Better than money in the bank
Nice bike, pity it's not one of the earlier 1000cc ones. Agreed but they were a limited number homologation special so are even rarer than a bike like this in this shape. It has been a long, hard search to get this one (29,000km from new and found in Holland) and I am as happy as a pig in the prove...

Better than money in the bank
Rather than keep losing money on the stockmarket, I cashed a bunch of shares in and bought this as an investment. It'll stay in England, be ridden 2 or 3 weeks a year and will increase in value. I had a 1982 model back in 85 and went to Spain on it so have fond memories of this bike. Gentlemen, I gi...

A few more pics from Mrs Pikey and looking at them, she's a better snapper than me! http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k106/pikey1000/IMAG0610Large.jpg http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k106/pikey1000/IMAG0607Large.jpg http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k106/pikey1000/IMAG0603Large.jpg http://i86.phot...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
No probs - being as my PCX is grey and black, I'll sling the grey one on it and find someone for the chrome one over here. Shame we got let down on the shiny black one. Ride safe.
Cheers,
Pikey.

Chiang Mai Thailand PCX club run
Today there was a run up into the hills to a remote temple made by about 30 PCX125/150s. This was arranged by the dealer we got the bike from and a 9AM start included snacks and a free tank of petrol for all participants. I went along for a bit but couldn't join in the ride as I had to work. I took ...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
Tony, We have a bit of a problem. I called and ordered the shiny black cover last week and normally stuff comes up overnight on the bus. Well, no show on the exhaust cover so I called again and they don't have any! This is typical of here and looking on their website, the pic has been taken down. So...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
Hi Tony, Best leave it to the post office then as it doesn't fit in for me. Here's your exhaust shield. Weird thing is, it is more of a gunmetal grey than black in reality. I double checked the part number and it is the correct one - just looked black in the catalogue. It's aluminium or steel and lo...

Re: My New Black :)
That's a very cool finish. If it were me, I'd change the seat and the shitty brown plastics to another colour - but that's just my opinion.
Where are you? It looks like a Malaysian number plate on the front of the bike?
Cheers,
Pikey.

Re: Honda Thailand recalls PCX 150
Yep, my missus got a call yesterday from the Honda dealer where she bought her 150 here in Chiang Mai - strange thing is, she's not got the stock wheels on it, rather 13" mags and the shop know this coz they put them on! On pushing her bike on the drive, there seems to be a slight "graunch...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
Hi Tony, OK for the mirrors. The trim has been ordered and will be with me sometime in the week - I'll take a pic when it arrives. I fly in on monday 2nd July. Where do you live? I'll be staying in Poole but traveling to get a bike from Leicester later that week so could hookup if you are anywhere o...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
Hi Pikey That is exactly what I am looking for and a good price too! If they can get one in black would definatly like one please. Looks aluminium to me? Tony Yep, aluminium. I'll order it in black next week. I'll post a pic once I have it - probably towards the end of next week as it comes up from...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
Hi Pony & TC3, So, here is the handlebar clamp I can get - note it is all brown, no silver on it like the one from the Japanese site you showed. 450 baht http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k106/pikey1000/barclamp.jpg Tony, how about this exhaust shield but in black with the big PCX logo? The one ...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
So, deadline for making up your mind (and anyone else) will be Monday 11th June. Also, over the next couple of weeks, I will be out and about biking and will not have consistent access to the internet so you may get a delay in me replying to any posts but I'll reply when I can. Cheers, Pikey. Sorry...

Is the shiny black one your #1 preference? or do you still want me to try and find the chrome one with the PCX logo?TC3 wrote: Ok thanks Pikey. Hopefully you can get hold of a shiney black one through that next shop.
Cheers,
Pikey.

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
Brown one is 450THB or just under a tenner plus postage. Have a look here (halfway down the page under "accessories") and maybe think about getting the matching brake reservoir cover for 200THB and the exhaust end cap for 680THB. Let me know and I'll order it. http://www.pcxclubthailand.c...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
Hi Pikey I have had a change of mind in regards to a chrome trim. I am hoping you have not ordered anything yet. The exhaust needs a trim to finish it and i am liking the shiney black finish here. It is something different. I do not mind the small logo as on the chrome trim but am not keen on the w...

Re: a Bikers worst enemy..
You can't disable the combi brake without losing some stopping power, if my memory serves me correctly. The front brake has 3 pistons -- one of which is hooked to the combi brake. The other two are actuated by the front lever. So, your assumption that you had an extra 20% or so more braking on the ...

Re: Visiting the UK from Thailand - anyone want any small bi
Hi Tony, I'll have a look for those - meanwhile I found this one locally for 650 baht (about 13 quid). Made of metal and anodized. Any good? http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k106/pikey1000/NokiaX7151.jpg It's been raining a bit here today (monsoon season) so I've not been able to get out like I wan...

Re: a Bikers worst enemy..
I still think I'm right. If you locked the wheels under braking and went down it's because you made an error. Simple as that. OK, I'll concede that it was my error but in so much as I should have taken time to learn the braking characteristics of the PCX before I needed to use them in a situation s...
