Re: New owner - first mods and where to get parts in Austral
Hi Mike, Don't worry the PCX loosens up nicely from 500-1000kms and you'll find it has more than enough power. If you're looking for a simple task to gently ease you into maintenance try replacing the air filter with one from SIMOSA, BMC, K&N etc and junk that little plastic snorkel that's fitt...

Re: New seat from powerbypcx
Just heard back from both Wiruswin and PowerByPCx and neither of the seats i like are available for the KF18 model. However, the reply from Wiruswin said they would start making this seat in the next two months so I might just hang on for a few months and see what happens. I guess the reality is tha...

Re: New seat from powerbypcx
I've just sent them an email asking if they can do this seat for my '15 PCX150 :-)
Hope you don't mind chuck but I also emailed them links to your photos so they could see what the seat looks like.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a114/chucktuna/pcs%20150/IMAG4801_zpsa2a70057.jpg That's the one I'd really like but AFAIK they don't make it for the 2015 KF18 model yet... it doesn't appear on the PowerByPCX site when you select the 14-15 model then seats :-( Probably a silly question but can yo...

>Honda seriously needs to improve things for us big fat tall americans :-) . We're not all Americans buddy. ;-) But I agree with you, Honda clearly didn't design the seat with westerners in mind. >The link to the seat you posted was my second choice---- let us know how it works out when it comes! Re: New seat from powerbypcx
The '15 model may have a different seat but it's still the worst, most uncomfortable bike seat I've ever had on any of my bikes, even including the rather minimal 2 inch saddle on my current ride (BMW R nineT). I rode my new PCX 150 home from the dealer last Saturday and took the very long way so di...

Re: PCX150 frame numbers
Hmm, ok, thanks for the heads up.... anyone had these sort of floorboards found the same thing? Probably not worth getting if they're going to wear quickly and look cr@p.

PCX150 frame numbers
Hi all, I'm picking up my new 2015 PCX150 this coming weekend (no thanks to a very wet saturday last weekend meaning I had to delay it a week) and have found some basic bling on japan.webike.net I'd like to order up front. What I'm trying to work out though is what all the frame numbers mean... all ...

Re: New owner - first mods and where to get parts in Austral
Lol, watched that video and it COMPLETELY PUT ME OFF installing it myself. Call me a wuss but I am not mechanical and it just looks like a job I'd screw up. Unfortunately I'm the sorta guy that does a job like that and at the end of it find I have two left over screws and a spring and a missing wren...

Re: Faster acceleration at lower speeds
Thanks valiant, very useful info re the clutch - so when I do the upgrade I think I'd just get the variator kit and the Kevlar belt... but I really don't want to risk my warranty so it will have to wait 12 months. In the meantime I will probably put a custom pipe on it instead as I don't believe tha...

Re: Faster acceleration at lower speeds
Yeah, I think you have a valid point - I'm probably being a bit hasty. Besides, I just spoke to my dealer about getting the variator fitted and they told me that replacing any engine or gearbox components within the warranty period (12 months) will void it so it looks like I will have to wait a year...

Re: Faster acceleration at lower speeds
@MikeP - Many thanks for your posts on this.... very educational for a PCX noob like me. I am picking up my brand new Siena Red 2015 PCX150 tomorrow and was planning to fit the Malossi Multivar 2000 and the kevlar belt as you have (probably at the first service which I'm guessing is 1000km/600m) but...

Re: New owner - first mods and where to get parts in Austral
Thanks for your answer valiant - appreciate all the info. It certainly seems the variator is the first thing to do and I know there are lots of options so I'll have to get searching and reading, but the Malossi set seems very good: http://scooterpartsco.com/malossi/malossi-master-part-list/malossi-v...

New owner - first mods and where to get parts in Australia
Hi all, I have just scored a 2015 Siena Red PCX-150 with just 6km on it, as well as a fitted top-end Givi topbox, from a dealer here in Sydney, for a steal. It's a demo bike but no-one rode it so it's essentally a brand new bike... can't wait to pick it up on Saturday! So, for my questions - first, ...
