My milage started to go up at around the 4000 mile mark. I'm regularly getting over 150 now riding my A/B road commutes.

After going via Honda UK customer services and getting shoved from pillar to post, one person to the next, I finally got an e-mail back today saying, Yes, they'll cover it.
