Re: A heated Debate with my Honda service centre..
Maybe it's because of the non-"energy conserving" part.

Re: You what?.....eh?.....say that again?
By the way, I wear a full face helmet, but it's vented. And supposedly the air flowing through the vents can be just as loud as without a helmet.

Re: You what?.....eh?.....say that again?
I've only been riding for about a month, but I always wear earplugs. I've been told that the main cause for hearing loss for motorcycle riders is wind noise, since it is a constant high-pitched noise that can reach 120-130dB, which is much higher than any engine noise. My experience with the earplug...

Re: New Forza
It's fun too, to be sitting at a light, and watching traffic pulling up change lanes to the other lane so they don't get stuck behind a scooter. And then nailing the throttle and watching them all recede in your mirrors :D  I agree! One time I pulled up next to a sports car (so we were both fi...

Looking at both of these links and my service manual, I'm 99% sure you're looking for 90495-MN5-000.

Yeah looking in my service manual, the diagrams for the two version's windshields suggest that they are totally incompatible. Bummer ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

Re: Puig Shield - May 1
I would love to try a new shield! If it doesn't work out for me I'm definitely willing to bring the same offer forward: send it to a new potential owner out of my own pocket.
I have a 2015, does that make a difference?

I was thinking about buying an Android Wear watch for this purpose, too. It would also be much safer for my phone! Just keep it in my pocket; no worry about a phone mount failing.

Re: CVT Case bearing failure
I think it's somewhat common because brass/bronze should have a lower friction that steel-on-steel or Steele on aluminum. Could also be there so it wears out instead of the shaft/bearing. Also apparently it makes a lower cost point, which is a common theme on this bike.

Re: CVT Case bearing failure
Yep, my service manual indeed has the bearing with the brass bushing. In my opinion, the bushing in that first pic looks a little beat up. It might be prone to cracking in that state.

New GoPro
My wife bought me a GoPro! What are some interesting things to do with it on the scoot? I do plan to record all of my services; is that better suited to a normal camera? The GoPro has the distinct advantage of being head-mountable during service.

Re: CVT Case bearing failure
I'm fairly certain my service manual shows the brass sleeve. I'll have to double check when I get home. I've never encountered a bearing that didn't have a brass sleeve, but the only bearings I've worked with were on 60-year-old pinsetters at a bowling alley.

Re: HP4M vs HP4S
I live in Houston, TX so I think that qualifies as "warmer" weather. And it's half city conditions, half high rpm's, depending on if you decide to drive during rush hour. My commute is usually limited to about 40-45 mph, mostly because it's only 2 miles. So it sounds like I should use 10w4...
