Re: 2015 PCX 150 performance upgrade checklist
So with 1400 miles there's nothing that would lower the gains I get from my upgrades?

2015 PCX 150 performance upgrade checklist
Hey everyone, I have 13g rollers, NCY Drive Face and a NCY pulley sitting at home waiting to be installed. I currently have 1400 miles on my PCX and I'm about to take it to a shop to get the parts installed. Are there any parts I should replace because of wear? Also I think I remember reading about ...

Re: 2015 pcx150 performance thread
On my 2015 PCX 150 with currently 607 miles (it's currently going through its maintenance at the dealership), the top speed I reached was 64MPH, no matter if I was on a flat surface or going down hill with the throttle wide open. I bought the 13g rollers and NCY parts linked in this thread as I'd li...

Re: Break in and increasing fuel economy
I'm getting between 105MPG and 107MPG on average, so far only 375 miles on the odometer. I weigh only 150lbs though so that probably helps. I would say a third of my riding is done at 50MPH+ while the rest is a lot of city driving which includes traffic jams and traffic lights.

Re: Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015
I ordered the 120/70 front and 140/60 rear.
I will report back with performance numbers in 2 to 3 weeks. I will keep the bike otherwise stock, no change in roller weights or variator.

Re: Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015
I did a search and didn't find anyone mentioning the 140/60 so yeah it looks like no one has done it.
I do like higher clearance and top speed, maybe I should beg someone in Chicago to help me do this so I don't have to ask my dealership.

Re: Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015
Thanks for the link, turns out it's the thread I'm looking at. The only problem is I won't be able to ask the dealership to install anything that will require bending the fender or moving the air box. Although I'd like to eventually do those kinds of mods myself, swapping the tires myself is not fea...

Re: Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015
If I go with rear 140/60-14, this puts my height at 84mm which is a little lower than the stock 90mm. 84mm is also the height of the front tires I'm getting (120/70), would this be a good alternative that doesn't require messing with the fender and air tank? Any adverse effects to having both front ...

Re: Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015
You will have to move the air intake box and the rear plastic fender. You will need some 1/2" spacers and slightly longer bolts. Homie did a fantastic good describing how to accomplish this on a previous post. Do you have a link to that post? I'd like to see pictures of where the air box gets ...

Re: Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015
I wish I had all the tools to do all of this myself as I am somewhat mechanically inclined, but for now I'll have to stick with whatever I can get the dealership (or other shop) to do for me. I just got off the phone with my Honda dealership and they said they're ok putting the 140/70 and 120/70 but...

Re: Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015
Great, thanks a lot for the reply. How about doing 120/70 in the front and rear, is there a reason why you'd always want the rear tires to be thicker than the front? I just came across this thread that seems to be exactly what I'm looking to do: http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3518&a...

Wider and taller tires - PCX 150 2015
Hey everyone, I've been reading a couple threads about people putting tires as large as 140/70-14 in the rear and 120/70-14 in the front. I'm looking at getting the Michelin City Grips 140/70-14 and 120/70-14. What I am worried about is clearance (such as rubbing in the fender) and there seems to be...

Haha good to know, when you say correct size you're basically saying matching the OEM IRC dimensions correct?

Re: pirelli diablo or michelin tires
Hey guys, what are the modifications required to install the same tires as in this picture on a 2015 PCX 150. Looks like the front wheel fairing has to be changed. Rear 150/70/14 Front 120/70/14 I do like the look of wider tires and I don't find the stock tires to grip the road particularly well so ...
