Re: Losing oil?
My 2012 PCX from new used to "consume" (no smoke or leak) oil at an annoying rate requiring v frequent checking, perhaps every week or so needing topping up. I think the first owner used to idle the scoot for battery condition and had v few kms on it when I bought it. I service the scoot m...

Re: New Rear Tyre (CG) - feel like I've joined the dark side
Iceman it would be very worth while greasing the rear axle up. A few months back I got the rear tyre replaced on a 2013. I removed the wheel myself....... :o ooooh what a 5-6 hour job that turned out to be purely because the inner bearing had the slightest amount of corrosion on it and seized up not...

Re: MICHELIN City Grip Tires
In regards to tyre wear what is the general accepted limit? (Particularly the rear)
In Australia I understand it is either 1.5 -2 mm minimum tread, that seem a lot more conservative than the manufactures mould wear tabs at the bottom of the tread which appear a lot lower down?

Re: Greasing Clutch Bearing
Pulled the clutch out yesterday to check the original bears that were getting slightly noise at 5000 miles. Both bearings rotated freely however the ball race did have a slight roughness to it, there was no evidence of particles in the old grease which was particularly stiff (whiteish in color) and ...

Greasing Clutch Bearing
I have around 5000 miles on my 2012 PCX 150, it runs so sweet. One thing that is starting to get my attention is the increasing clutch bearing noise just as I come to a stop at idle. I have read numerous post re a dodgy bearing in these earlier models and was thinking of having a look inside and put...

Re: valave adjustment,first time
So does that mean you can access the valve clearance from beneath via black plastic cover or not?
Are you indicating the extensive conventional removal plastics right back to the rear is still the preferred option for accessing valve clearance adjustments?

When you do get out would be good to know what condition the plug is in for the distance travelled and the timeliness of all the trouble you have to go to, certainly be only worth replacement.

Re: Cheeky Seats review
Got one of these Faux covers bit under a year ago for a 2012, pretty impressed with the level of service and product. I have taken the hump off and cut the peakiness out of the mount holes, have also added some additional HD foam where the mount and seat surface comes close so as not to get jarred b...
