In the end it was the engine earth cable had corroded through several months ago. This eventually caused the computer to have a heart attack. Nope to rain, not fresh fuel and all plugs should be tight as it had a check up by a local garage for the same fault a month ago who could find nothing obvious. Not a Honda dealer but my local Honda dealers are arseholes and I have fallen out with them over the faults they have put ON the bike.

Lost power from 60 to a stop. Engine cut out. No starter motor. After a couple of minutes starts, runs for a few minutes, cuts out. No starter again. Repeat. Lights all good. Management light comes on and goes off as normal. Sidestand up and brake held. Ideas?
