Re: PCX won't start

Reading a battery at 13.8 is when the engine is running, and you’re not reading the battery, you are reading the charging system. A 12v battery at rest (with the engine off) is 12.6 -12.7 fully charged.

Re: PCX won't start

I just wonder if it’s a defective battery in some way. A 12 V battery maxes out at 100% charge at 12.6 so 12.8 is a little bit hi and may be an indicator of something wrong. Check all your connections going to the battery and make sure that you don’t have some type of film or debris that is causing ...

Re: what has happened to this site?

I’m in the exact same situation at age 72. I feel great, no real problems but I’ve limited my rides to be in around the neighborhood and down the street. Just last year I was still doing six 200 mile drives a year across the state to see a friend, and I’ve suddenly realized that my attention span, v...

I don’t know what to “make of that“… All I know is a 2013 PCX takes a 14 inch tire:

Re: YSS Shocks & Fork kit for 2015 PCX 150 in California USA, or alternatives?

I have never had an order problem with these guys and I order a lot of stuff from them. I don’t have any problem with over seas shipping. I have ordered these shocks, they work great with the standard configuration spring and shipping was about 40 bucks… https://bikerzbits.com/honda-pcx-150-yss-g-se...

Honda does not own a refinery. They just license other people stuff, you can use any 10W-30 oil from any major manufacturer.

Re: connecting wires for heated grips

You can splice onto the pos + wire the of the cigarette lighter power adapter that’s in the front pocket. Run that to a relay, then run the relay to the battery, then the grips will only work when the ignition is running.

Re: PCX - restricting top speed

I would not want to limit my bike to 35 miles an hour because there are times where you might want to use the power to get out of a dangerous situation. Rather, I would mount my iOS/android phone to the handlebars, download a GPS speedometer program that’s free, and set a limit of 30 mph that would ...

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread

Dealers are not stupid. Right now in certain parts of at least the USA, the market is so white hot for motorcycles and scooters that things are going for ridiculous prices. The same as going on in the used car market, there are cars that are selling for about the same as a new car. Mostly because th...

Re: Puig Clip-On Windscreen Visor

I don’t think you’re going to get the results you’re looking for using the Stock small screen. It’s just too low. I used a deflector on my PCX after mounting a midsize sport screen, then it was fine.

Re: 2021 PCX’s arriving at U.S. Honda dealers!

I wouldn’t be too upset, it would be nice to have a rear disc but due to the weight of the bike, and the limited 65 to 70 mile an hour top end, the rear brake works just fine and will for years.. You’re not missing anything with idle stop not being supplied, it drains batteries and is hard on the st...
