Re: 2021 PCX’s arriving at U.S. Honda dealers!
what? I thought a few people here and on other sites were saying it would do 70-80 mph?…. I knew that wasn’t the case… Not in the United States

Re: WOT for a full tank...
Running wide-open throttle for a full tank it’s never a good idea. But can the PCX do it? Of course you can, but long-term you are running at the extreme of the bike and if something does go wrong, it will be rather extreme. A much better idea is to purchase some type of 300 cc, where you are never ...

Re: Top box mount
Call the guys at revzilla.com. They will know. I’m going to guess though , that since the 2021 is an all new model with an extensive redesign, that earlier stuff won’t fit.

Re: 2021 PCX 160/125 owner’s review thread
I rode motorcycles for 30 years, and my first scooter was a 2015 PCX, then got a Xmax in 2018. I really don’t see any difference at all with the shifting or the clutch needed on a motorcycle, mostly because it’s not even something you think about, or I can say it another way, the lack of all that on...

Re: New 125 2021 model flat battery
The smart key system does not include an automatic shut off. If you leave the ignition energized and turn off the bike with the kill switch on the handle bar or putting down the kickstand, the bike is still on and the battery will go flat.

Re: New 125 2021 model flat battery
You can use a jump pack ,but you need to put the battery on a charger for 24 hours and bring it back to normal status. Any battery that has been flattened has been damaged in some regard, and should be recharged the full amount before you use it if you want the battery to last. Also set up some type...

A great review, it just shows how we’re all different, I think Forza is really an ugly bike, I like the PCX much, much more. The new Forza I think is just stunning, really a great redesign

And ABS fault would not have anything to do with the engine not starting. Most likely your battery is dead.

Re: Road Trip
Just keep in mind that if you’re on any of the main interstate type roads above 100 km an hour, you’re going to get blown around, esp by -assign trucks. Also your max top speed is 100 to 120 km/h, sometimes that’s not enough if you’re on any of these major thoroughfare‘s. Try to stay off the interst...

Re: Important Information for new riders!
Some of these concepts can get really confusing for the new rider. I went through this when I first came back to riding after 10 years I took the motorcycle safety foundation courses -both beginner and advanced, and then read the big book of proficient motorcycling by david hough . I finally decided...

Re: Full Synthetic Oil
You’re talking about a scooter where the RPMs are regulated by the CVT, not a full-blown race Formula One engine. Use mineral oil or synthetic oil in the right spec from the owners manual and change it at the right interval and you’ll be fine forever… Synthetic oil’s main benefit is you can go longe...

Re: Full Synthetic Oil
I would not hesitate to use synthetic oil or mineral oil as long it is the same spec required in the owners manual. Syn Oil is great if you don’t want to change your oil for an extended period of time like 6000 to 12,000 miles. But either will work fine if you’re changing the oil on the regular inte...

Re: How to set the light to auto shut off
You seem to be missing the point that it’s not just the light that is causing the problem. The total bike is still energized when you stop, and leave the bike in the on position. All the electronics are still alive, the computer is still alive and that will kill the battery just as fast as leaving t...

Re: Why no mega scooter?
There is only one reason that Honda or any other major manufacturer puts bikes on the road. That is, the bikes that can sell in that country at a certain level amount. I was with American Honda for about eight years in the 80s, and then moved on to a few other manufacturers that offered me promotion...

Re: How to set the light to auto shut off
Sorry to be blunt, but this is a problem with you, the owner, not the bike , if this has happened SIX TIMES. I suggest you don’t get off the bike unless YOU VISUALLY CHECK to see that it is turned off. Buy a new battery replace it and start practicing the new shut down procedure.

Re: How to set the light to auto shut off
There is no way to auto shut off the light if you leave the ignition on. Besides that, if you have flattened your battery several times, that battery is prone to future failure, even if charged. It’s not just the light you left,on , it’s the whole electrical system of the bike. Replace the battery a...

Re: How to fix paint issues
I’ve been painting cars and bikes for years, and if it was my bike, I would take the piece off , sand it completely down and re-spray it. A body shop can do this and match the paint for $150-$200. If you do all the sanding work first, it might just be about $100. And alternative is you could vinyl w...
