Screens

The SH300 comes without a screen. It's fine as it is, but you get the obvious wind push on your torso, bugs on your visor and wet when it rains. SH300 screens are cheap, but you generally have to fit the screen brackets that come with the Honda screen, and as far as I'm aware you can only buy the br...

Re: Oil leak

First pick, you can see oil on the casing, and it runs down to the bottom where it runs off. You can also see the creaminess higher up. Second photo, more cream....

Termoscud leg cover

I fitted one a couple of weeks ago. Pretty easy to fit. It rumples a bit in front of you so water does pool on it when it rains heavily, but I've not got wet yet. Temperature-wise, it is nice and warm. There are little drafts coming in, but nothing irritating. The one part that could be done better ...

Oil leak

More of a heads-up really, as I don't think there are enough SH300 owners around here yet to find someone else with this issue. I've done 1800 miles on my SH300i which I picked up new in April. It's the perfect 2-wheeler for me at the moment. I noticed a drop of oil on the floor last week. Looking i...

Re: My driver's license test on the PCX

Okay, so I bought the PCX about a month ago, but I didn't get my license until a few days ago. Where I live, it takes forever to schedule a road test. Anyhow, here's how it went: I scheduled it for 8:15 in the morning. That was not a wise move. As I drove 25 miles to the test site, I was constantly...

Re: I'm new in here!

"America started off driving on the left. It was only after they claimed independence that they swapped over." Because the indians fought from the left side and our soldiers had to be prepared to draw their swords with their left Hand? Or maybe the stage coaches kept running into each oth...

Re: I'm new in here!

I think I read somewhere that the British started the riding on the left thing because the Knights accompanying the wagons had to be able to draw their swords with their right hands to fight off the highway robbers without fighting across the horse. Well, knights went away a long time ago, so why c...

Re: I'm new in here!

Welcome to the forum. I think I read somewhere that Honda now has a manufacturing facility in Vietnam too, and I think they opened an assembly plant in Italy as well. Still, most of the PCX parts still seem to come from Thailand, and I love the fact that we can get parts from Thailand through the I...

Re: New Member, Tall Screen Colour and GPS

I've always had screens just below my eyeline, and thought that was the best way to do it. I've got an SH300. Most owners in Italy have those full-height barn door screens. When I bought the scoot I needed the screen brackets to be able to fit a low Givi screen, but Honda only sell them with the tal...

Re: SH150i / SH300i

Still on sale in the UK - £3,000 for SH125 and £4,800 for SH300 http://www.chiswickbike.com/honda/honda-motorcycles/bikes/scooters.htm There's also an SH Mode 125 - seems strange the market is big enough for 4 125 Honda scooters (and a fifth 110cc Vision) - SH125, SH mode 125, PCX 125 and Forza 125...

Re: SH150i / SH300i

Hi modsquad :) Just a small, tiny little suggestion. There are no (zero) english speaking SH forums on the net with any kind of regular activity worth reading (there are a couple, but extreeeeeeemely outdated). The model has been reintroduced again for 2017 in 150 and 300 form in various parts of t...

You can do long distance on a 300 with enough acceleration and top speed to give you all you need.

Re: Keyless PCX's in the UK

Sh300 comes with one keyless fob. I believe the X-ADV comes with two.

Handy as it is, I think it's more of a gimmick personally.

Re: Talk me out of a Silver Wing

Another poster on here will go on about the rear caliper dragging, but mine was ok. Lucky you. I was not alone, there have been a few others with this problem and there have been discs and pads replaced under warranty. Pump recalls... there was the initial one then there was a second one to replace...

Re: Talk me out of a Silver Wing

Fly to somewhere scenic and hire a bike there. Sorted. Typically in the US, only 50cc are available for rental, and in the rare places where they will rent larger, they're motorcycles. Is a Forza, which is quite in the middle of what you need, out of the question? Or a Burg 400.. Burg 400 is not ou...

Re: Talk me out of a Silver Wing

The thing that put me off the Silver Wing I tested was the service intervals, that it's an old-model scoot and that the MPG isn't great in comparison with others. I got a CB500X instead for a year. I now have an SH300 which, despite not being a maxi-scooter, I find a much better bike for local and d...

Re: Broken Honda trunk box

:? I guess the pictures tell the story....both of the plastic arms that prevents the lid from opening too far, broke at the same time without any abnormal force. I assuming replacement arms would not be cheap, as it's connected to the plastic "slot-nut" so you can't just replace the arm......

Re: Why no SH300i forum on here?

It's a better scoot than the Forza 300. Is there any reason why it's not included on this site? If you look up maxi-muppets forum, you will find that any scooter is welcomed. :) Yup, I'm on there. Not many SH owners, probably because they only brought the 300 back to the UK a couple of years ago. Th...

Re: Which windshield do you prefer

I@m 5'9" and had the Honda screen. It was about right for me. I can tell that's it's a good height when it beads the rain downwards off my visor.
