What plug doe Honda use for their heated grips?
Hi I have some Oxford heated grips to fit to my sh350i. Rather than track the cables to the battery I'd like to use the plug inside the headset meant for OEM grips. I don't know what type of plug this is and don't want to have to dismantle the whole of the top of the scoot to find it so I know what ...

Re: Best practice for long life
Get a small paint brush and some ACF50, and brush it on all of the exposed metal. It will stop surface rust.
If you want to protect the body work then you could also get a roll of protective film off Amazon and apply it to the points where you're going to catch it with a foot.

Re: Universal Emergency Key for every PCX?
Hey there, in case the battery runs empty you can open the seat with the emergency key. This emergency key seems to be a standard piece of plastic - hard to imagine that there is some technique inside and that this key just works on my own bike. So anybody with this key can open my seat and takes o...

Re: Forza 350 rear suspension upgrade
Hi Haven't posted for a while, sold my Forza 300 as i found it a bit to low and rear suspension was poor for the kind of roads I took it on. (Highlands of Scotland) Anyway thinking of the newer 350 and upgrading the rear suspension but wondered if anyone had any recommendations. And as this forum i...

Re: Deposit Down
I'd be interested in any updates you get re delivery. I ordered an sh350i a couple of weeks ago and was told February delivery, but it seems that the dealers don't get much from Honda in terms of their own delivery updates.

Re: Anyone in the Market for a 2019 Super Cub?
Glad to see the Super Cub is back. Good advance reviews on it so far. Looks good and it's got that carrier to mount a top box on. 8) Honda sold tons of them in the past. . .then SYM had their Symba 100 version which is now out of production. The Super Cub. . .a minimalist dream perhaps? Less is mor...

Re: Anyone in the Market for a 2019 Super Cub?
FOB keyless ignition has people hating. 300.00 replacements if lost, put through the laundry etc. I kinda agree we could do without fancy keyless ignitions on motorbikes. To lose the key on my car is 500.00 plus an appointment to the dealer, time lost and burning money. Things happen in life, espec...

Re: New Forza 300 - 1st Impressions
I really don't see the point of keyless on a scoot. The failsafe on my SH300 was a plastic key with a coded magnet in. If you lost the keyless fob then you pulled a panel and used the plastic key to trip the seat lock and get in that way. But the manual said to take the plastic key out with you. If...

Super, Please do us a favor and go into your profile and add your general location. Also, please add the type of scooter you have. It use to be that we all knew it was a PCX because that was the only type on here. Now that it has expanded to include other Honda scooters, we have to guess. Thanks. T...

Re: ACF-50 review
Be careful with tyres, yes, but there's no need to worry about a little over spray in the brake discs. It burns off in no time if you apply the brakes a few times on your first ride off. It won't contaminate the pads unless you get a lot of the stuff on them.

Re: ACF-50 review
It's really good stuff. There's a network of franchised blokes in the UK who will do an amazing job of applying it everywhere.
I've been through a couple of aerosols over the years and now have a carton of the stuff and a spray bottle.

Re: Got a speeding ticket on my PCX.
Over here (UK) it's illegal for speedometers to under-read, so that you're no lever going faster than your speedo says. I guess it's the same everywhere, as bike manufacturers aren't going to design different speedos for different companies. Speedos are built to tolerances, but are never 100% accura...

Re: FWIW, My PCX compared to Stock Forza observations
I rode a stock Forza yesterday just to see if the extra power was worth investing in for some longer touring. I was sorely disappointed. It's definitely a nice refined machine, but it didn't fit me at all. My knees were above my waist and there really wasn't much more leg room on it. It was like ri...

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?
No. You claimed that to stand any chance of a successful warranty claim you have to use Honda for servicing. And I stand by that claim. You haven't produced any valid proof to the contrary. See.above. It's possible to go outside Honda serving and not void your warranty. You've had the proof. As I s...

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?
The scare tactics the motorcycle dealers want to use to keep your business will not work in a court of law. Honda clearly wants to compete with Suzuki and others and broaden their policy in allowing customers to use their own servicing providing they don't muck it up.. and they keep the required pr...

Re: Warranty "service requirements" in the UK?
Paul, the text in your post specifically says "cars", any verbal communications you may have had with an employee of Honda UK are irrelevant if what is said isn't backed up in writing. Easyrider, the legislation which provides retained warranty for indy servicing for cars is the MVBER* Mo...
