Re: What tire did you off on?
Mel, I really wish she heals up quick and both of you can continue to ride - or find an alternative past-time which keep both of you active. I have to say that my grandma was covering 5-6 mile walks on her own up until she was like 89. She has broken her hip at age 91 and recovered in about six week...

Re: Oil filter
No and no. No inline fuel- or oil filter present on the PCX. There's a stainless steel mesh filter for the oil which has to be cleaned and placed back - no replacement needed. Even though an oil change is pretty straight forward - valve adjustment needs quite bit of the tupperware to be removed. I s...

Re: Idle switch not working
Actually the idle stop system checks if the rider is sitting on the seat, not that it has been closed or not.
It is hihgly possible that your new seat is causing the issue.

Re: Handlebars
A friend of mine (6,2) has changed his bars on his earlier PCX for some cross bars with a riser. He had to lengthen the brake lines, but the rest of the cables had enough slack to accommodate. He loved the feeling, but did not replicate the changes when he bought the new 2015 model - "Too much ...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)
As well as many others. Personally I'd chose Monkey Father/Finbro for performance stuff for the Grom based on what I've read as they seem to be specialized on those. At least over there on the MSX forum noone gets flamed for spending a few hundred bucks souping up his bike. ;-) I see many bikes with...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)
A few things came to my mind - on most bikes easiestito find neutral while still rolling to a stop - with practice you'll be able to do upshifts without the clutch if you want to accelerate fast - some gearboxes are smoother than others - the grom only has 4 gears if im not mistaken - in most if the...

Re: Will a 15 head light assembly fit in a 13 pcx150?
To have a quick answer, not possible without major panel and I assume mounting modifications (this later I'm not sure, but the headlights have different shape. I advise to look for posts from a fellow forum member called Dasshreddar. He builds a rebuilds a frankenstein PCX based on a 2010 or 2012 mo...

Re: Crashed last week on A406
The rider did appear to make a startled movement with his head just before grabbing the brake. But I've never felt that the front brake of the PCX was all that grabby. The road must have been like grease in the center. All of the Honda world bikes I have ridden have their ft brake pads deigned on t...

Re: Crashed last week on A406
My understanding is that in case a major force does not steer it left - the front usually breaks out to the right. This is ususally due to the different tension on the handlebars. As the rider manipulates the throttle with the right hand fine movements and preparation for reaction of the wrist does ...

Re: Dream Car
Has the Alfa version been released? To my understanding not yet. I assume because they wanted to show off the new Giulietta first, and not compete head to head with the MX-5 launch and cannibalise their own market like it was the case with BRZ, Scion FR, GT86. @WhiteNoise - It is A.L.F.A. Romeo (ab...

Re: Buell FireBolt...
I wss testing the Buell in it's premier time and was not impressed. I would not say at all- as it wss surprisingly good compared to a Harley. As much as I loved the radical tank in the frame and oil in the swingarm setup as an engineer - it was underpowered and uncivilised when compared with anythin...

Re: 2012 esp malossi multivar 2000 ?
Been looking at the Malossi Multivar 2000 for my wifes 2012 125 esp and wondered if the stock belt's the best option with this variator ? also wondered if you're best using the 10.5g rollers the Multivar comes with or is it better to use sliders ? My wifes bike's currently stock apart from 12g Dr P...

Re: Scooter Skirts
I have used the Tucano Urbano skirt for one winter. Can't inagine not having one as it works so well. +1 I also have a tucano urbano on the bike when riding temps get below 8degC. Actually I can simply get a jacket above my suit and cummute to and from work in business attire. Theoretically at leas...

Re: Crashed last week on A406
IMHO the fact that you have a finger on the front brake lever is not bad at all - most advanced riding courses teach you to do so while cruising, so you shorten the time to break in case of an emergency. I believe though that the last few comments have mentioned something important. Whith the linked...

Re: 140/70-13 Tyres
+1 for the Heidenau K66. I have changed my stock IRCs on the PCX to these and really statisfied. Very good grip on cold an wet surfaces and it is fairly good during summer too. I've only done about 1500 km on them so far, so cannot comment on wear yet. The linked picture does not give the true profi...
