Re: Fuel consumption after Fuelpump exchange
Theoretically it should not happen. Even if the new fuel pump would supply larger volume through higher pressure - as the engine is mostly operating in closed loop - the ECU, based on O2 sensor feedback should decrease the injector opening times. Check the real consumption after the first full refil...

Re: Morning ride = sooooo cold!
During winter I use my strapon... Oh. That's a different discussion. So when my morning rides get consistently below 8°C I strap the tucano termoscout to the bike and don't even take off until spring comes. It also has a front part protecting your frontal area as well as a rain protector to keep you...

Re: security
The pros are targeting whatever they have an "order" for. If they need PCX parts that week, guess what, they're on the lookout for our bikes. The amateurs and joyriders, OTOH, look for targets of opportunity. Your methods may defeat these guys or cause them to move to easier pickings. If ...

Re: I just bought a PCX
Just an FYI, if they told you they changed the filter, they're not exactly being accurate. The filter on GY6 engines is just a screen. They will have taken it out, cleaned it, and put it back in. but it wasn't technically changed. Just for your information: It is a commonmisperception, but the engi...

Re: cold start problem
As you have changed the plug already - how was it reading? Rich, with lots of carbon deposits or rather lean looking light color?
It can help the further diagnosis of the issue

Re: cigarette lighter plug
I've installed the dual USB as mentioned by Iceman on my 2012 model. Placed it deep down in the "glovebox" so I can connect fairly long chargers also and sfill close the door. Works like a charm. As I cbanged my side markers and rear light from the 5w bulbs to LEDs which consume about 1,5w...

Re: security
How do they start them quickly, without the key? Are PCX's ignition locks defeated simply say, with with a small flat-blade screwdriver? I dunno meself how they compromise the ignition lock, but aftrr seeing a few thai pcx theft videos (recorded by surveillance cams) the process does not seem to be...

Re: Reliability test report of Dr. Pulley sliders & mods
Clemence, great writeup, thanks for the feedback. I'll check the belt conditioning spray- I have never heard of it before - but I have to add that the PCX is first scooter I own. BTW. you live in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I've worked in Jakarta for some time also, but visited Bali a...

Re: cold start problem
Well, Gn2 just blessed us with his generous words of wisdom. While it is true that he can ride away after start it is still not a solilution for the OP's problem what is most likely a sign of a malfunction of the bike. As it is a cold start problem on a relatively new biked I'd be very surprised if ...

Re: Remove variator without special clutch tool?
I cannot imagine removing the drive face without holding it down (if one has no impact driver like myself). However it is fairly easy to make one. Here's mine. Drive face tool.jpg It took me like 12 minutes to make it - including looking for the parts. The bolts are M6x35 with matching self tapping ...

Yuminashi TORQUE CONTROL VARIATOR V.2016
Just spotted it on Yuminashi website. It is said to combine the previous sprint master and speed control variators and offering both higher top speed and faster accel. Comes with both drive faces and seems to be very interesting. Vlad, do you have any further information about this? My only issue is...

Re: First Problem with my 2011 PCX125
It sounds like a too rich condition to me. Maybe someone could check the evap purge solenoid troubleshooting in the service manual - mine is in the garage and it is past midnight here - but that is an electically controlled subsystem what could cause such issues imho. Also you could try not filling ...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT
My bad  Yes it must be 150 vs 140. Rear tire is now 15" instead of 14" this make's him also larger so less deviation on the speedo meter, still have to check how much though. If you have gone from 140/70R13 to 150/70R13 the difference is about 2,7% increase in circumference and roug...

Re: Handlebar Mounted Charging Ports
I have just installed my version on my 2012 PCX and wanted to post a how-to when I'll have time to write it. I e installed in the "glovebox" to the really left bottom of the box so I can connect longdr chargers also. As all of my devices are charging from USB I bought a dual USB outlet for...

Re: Back to school
Cool. I have a degree in engineering (electrical, telco spec.) and a master in management but really enjoyed the two full semesters back in 2001 to get a bike mechanic certification. Iwas still racing back then (stock 600 and superstock 600) and financed my racing mainly from servicing other fellow ...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT
Out of curiosity Sendler ;) Why change the Vario on a Forza at all when the factory one works perfect with some light sliders. I don't know about the slider profile of the stock Forza vario, but the Malossi multivar 2000 what I have for the PCX has a completely different transmission profile compar...
