Re: "Oh, this won't take long. It's just a quick project"

I'm famailiar witb that feeling. Dropped in the new rear shocks in "just 20 minutes" yesterday.

BTW. The acces port on the left side is for reaching the tspark plug. For the valves one has fo remove the whole luggage compartment at least.

Re: Extra 12 volt plug on a 2014 Forza 300

I've bought a socket what has two usb outlets - a 2.1A one and a 1A one. As all of my devices are using usb charging anyway I found it quite useful as I only have to bring cables not an entire charger.

Re: Front suspension upgrade

If you already got to changing fork oil and feont springs then you can easily install the PD valves too. The beauty us that it's not needed to dismantle the whole fork. You simply remove the allen bolt at the bottom of the fork while it is open and voila the damping rod will come out immediately. Th...

Re: Front suspension upgrade

Hi Tom I've only done it overnight so had no chance document it. I have to say though I'm just setting up my new workshop and not really good in photodocumenting either especially when I see such great articles like Maddie's. I'm still experimenting with fork oil viscosity so I'll change the oil onc...

Re: Akrapovic

Good choice. As a matter of fact I think the Akra (or any lighter than stock aftermarket exhaust) must be a huge improvement on the rear suspension also. As the whole engine, driveline, exhaust combo moves together as the rear swingarm and the exhaust is the longest protruding heavy element effectiv...

Re: Anyone ever ordered from redracingparts.com? Ermax +25

The're legit - I've bought quite a few stuff from them for the 600RR.
I can confirm also, that Italian post is not too fast even within the EU - so I can imagine sending to US could be even slower.

Re: Front wheel removal

On the PCX the spindle is 14mm and the lock bolt is 19.
Knowing the reuse engineering of Honda, I would be surprised if it would be different on the Forza.

Re: Front spring diameter

J.d.b Thanks for the info. In this topic I was asking about the diameter rather than the length. Can you please look up in the 2013 manual how much oil needs to be filled in the forks? I only have a 2011 manual but it states different spring length. Thanks. vamootsman I have installed YSS PD valves....

Re: Forza rear tire get hot

While I don't know if those michelins supposed to be running hotter or not, I can say you might want to play a bit with your tire pressure at the back. With the michelin pilot sports I've used on my 600rr when I needed good traction at the twisties or at the track I used to lower the pressure, so th...

Front suspension upgrade

I've just finished the upgrade of my front suspension and love the results - so I share the details if anyone would like to replicate. Management summary: YSS PD valves installed along with heavier viscosity fork oil and added 20 mm preload to stock front forks. It is a world of difference for rough...

Re: Brake upgrade

Almost 1000 km since installed the EBC brake set - and I'm lovin' it. It is not as flash as the beautiful big brake upgrade of Chainsaw - and apparently I have no test comparison with that either. However I can say that feel, modulation, and braking power is really excellent. If anyone would think a...

Re: 2012 PCX eSP front fork specs request

I wiuld not expect more from you, frankly. In case you'd switch from write only mode to read-write, you might have realized that this is exactly my intention. So I ask how much of that thicker oil should I fill in this fork. I have the 20w oil sitting here, but the basic measurements of the fork are...

Re: Brake upgrade

First round done. I have changed the OEM brake disk to an EBC wawy rotor, swapped in some sintered brake pads, changed the brake oil and thoroughly cleaned and maintained the whole brake caliper, guides etc. Apparently the previous owner has used the bike during winter - without cleaning it at all -...

2012 PCX eSP front fork specs request

I only have the 2011 service manual, what is suspiciously different when it comes to front end of the bike than what I've found on the bike. I've found that the actual length of the spring in my front fork is 292 mm, while my service manual states 273,6 mm, with a service limit of 268 mm so it seems...

Re: Best cosmetic improvement...

I couldn't agree more with gn2 on this one. I have a full licence, and even though I only own a PCX125 now (on purpose, as it fits my transportation needs best) my selection of bikes would be severely limited if I'd only have a limited licence. It also helps to borrow a "proper bike" somet...
