I use a chest strap with mount, I like the riding view it gives.

Re: New seat fitted
Thanks guys, I'll report back after I get some use out of it. You get two options when you order a seat, an OEM base unit which would not have the rubber seals and also reduces underseat storage space, or a genuine Honda base with seals etc in place. The price difference wasn't that much so I went f...

New seat fitted
My new seat from MP Motors arrived from Thailand yesterday. It was sent on 8th of March so 3 weeks delivery time to Scotland which is not too bad. It got hit with a customs charge of £30 which seems to be a completly random system. A guy on the UK PCX Forum orderded after me and his seat arrived soo...

Re: Indicator bleeper
The kit simply means your will hear a bleeping in time with the indicators blinking, helps remembering to turn them off. A slightly more advanced version will only start bleeping after a set number of flashes.

Indicator bleeper
Quite interested in fitting these, used to have audible indicators on an Adly scoot I owned and found them useful. The blurb says 10 minutes to fit, but I presume that's once you've got the front off. How easy is all this on a PCX ??

Re: Seats from Thailand
Thanks for the advice Mel46, I've ordered the genuine Honda seat base do it should have the rubber seal already installed. I've got my tracking number and the parcel is due to leave Bangkok today. Estimated delivery time to Scotland is 10 days. I'm planning to do a proper unboxing & fitting vide...

Re: MP Motor Back Rest Seat
I've just ordered the seat you are considering. I have a compression fracture in my back which can ache on longer trips so felt a bit of support was required. Looked at all the MP seats but kept coming back to this one, also got some helpful advise from Mel46. I've asked for mine to be moved back th...

Re: Seats from Thailand
Well decided to take the plunge !! I've ordered the bottom of the two shown above as I prefered the styling. I went for the genuine Honda base and a 3" move back for the support. I presume removing the old seat is just a matter of removing the screws and lifting it out. I have a 2014 LED light ...

Is it worth paying the extra for the genuine plastic Honda frame, works out about £30 more ?

Re: Seats from Thailand
Hi all, I have a compression fracture in my back which can ache a bit on longer PCX rides or after a busy day at work and riding home. A while back I had a box strapped on the seat behind me which I noticed made the ride more comfortable. Just caught up with this thread on the forum and the seats fr...

Re: Puncture advice...
Got a Cargol temporary repair kit for the tyre (see link below). Very easy to use, had the tyre plugged and inflated within 5 minutes. Rode along to my local dealer who are going to replace the rear tyre with a City Grip for £77 all in. I discussed changing the front one to a City Grip at the same t...

Re: Puncture advice...
This is probably a silly question but could I put a City Grip on the rear and just leave the front as it is, a standard PCX IRC tyre? Should both tyres be the same make?

Re: Puncture advice...
Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. I've ordered up a plug kit so will use that and then take the bike up to my dealer. The tyre was fine when I parked the bike up Monday afternoon but flat by early the following morning, don't want to risk it. I can do a few mechanical odds and ends but taki...

Puncture advice...
Hi all, Went down to get my PCX out for the morning commute today only to find I had a flat back tyre. Back home tonight for a proper look and I can clearly see what looks like a metal shard sticking out of the tread (see picture link below). http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii608/drzoom11/Honda%...

My 2014 PCX 125cc
Out early this morning to give the PCX a clean down and good spray with Scottoiler as winter starts to bite in chilly Edinburgh. Also decided to remove the side decals. They'd been on for over a year and were just starting to peel a little at the edges. I'd also felt that since I'd fitted the footpl...

Re: rideing the pcx in the rain?
I live in Scotland, if rain put me off riding I wouldn't be on the PCX much. I don't ride in snow, ice or very high winds, no two-wheeler is safe in those conditions. Never had a problem with the stock tyres, just take it slow, don't let cars intimidate you and concentrate. Enjoy !!
