Re: Thats all folks!
I deeply thank you all for your replies and thoughts. I am truly sorry to leave this community and the sweet little bikes that made me smile at each throttle twist. It was all great fun. I just wish I had left gear-bikes sooner. One split-second decision makes all the difference in the branching of ...

Thats all folks!
Just a note to bid you all farewell. I had a bad collision last Thursday. A young woman in a minivan waiting to make a left turn suddenly accelerated and put her van crosswise to me as my front wheel entered the intersection. I had maybe ten feet to slow from about 40mph with no where to go. I wound...

Re: valave adjustment,first time
I can see the v cover from the bottom and can get my hand on it. The question is whether I can get tools in there (especially if adjustment IS needed) and get the cover back on. I'm pessimistic. If it were at all possible to do the v cover R&R with the "puzzle-beast" body in place (let...

Re: valave adjustment,first time
I wonder if you can access it from underneath - removing the bottom 'dirt' plate, or does that need the trim to come off. I've looked at that angle, too. I can put the bike on a hoist to work on it and It really looks like I can get that v cover apart inside there. I generally try to take apart as ...

Yes, the Honda coolant will be fine, but pricey. Any non-silicate coolant will do.

No doubt, Homie. While they may be attractive to young men, they appear to be ridden by a majority of the old, in my experience.homie wrote:dosent explain this gaggle of codgersDailyRider wrote: The PCXs are beautiful rides and particularly attractive to young men.

Re: Blinking fuel gage (all bars blinking)
You need the manual or a mechanic. There are a couple procedures for figuring out what's going on involving shorting pins in a connector and observing the speed of the meter blinking. The results are open circuits, a bad float/sending unit, or a bad instrument cluster (niiiice). You CAN ride it all ...

Re: Check Engine Light
Looking at the manual, the steady(non-blinking) MIL shoes "faulty ECM" (controller). The manual describes "Engine stalls, hard to start, rough idling, does not hold the self-diagnosis data". Looks like it's time for a mechanic with a scan tool (MCS).

I have a '13 and no, there's no low-beam indicator. Only blue for high-beam. The greens are the turn signals. The low-beams are always on if the ignition is on.

Honda could have used ONE reservoir housing. The current set-up reeks of retro-fit/afterthought.

Re: Cheeky Seats review
BTW, you may want to try adding a bit more padding where the hump was as Susie suggested to me. I used a couple old dishrags beneath the cover and it finished it off, nicely. Also, I've since added a couple screws to remove the last of the light wrinkling along the side web, toward the rear (as visi...

So, when replacing the cam, what else is being changed in the system along with it? Larger intake and exhaust as well as spark/fuel maps(calibration)?

I've had that on bike tires, before. The front tread might be reversed for braking(?)
