Here's a short video, ignore the images ( riding with one hand on terrible cobblestone street). Focus to the klokloklock sound . it's much more annoying live than in the video, but you get an idea

Re: Clicking noise over bumps
yes that was my first port when checking: i followed the brake lines then opened up below the widshield to see if any cable came loose from their retainers. It's a rat's nest there below, could'nt see anything strange or suspect. I checked against a vietnamese pdf which shows wich cable goes where b...

Re: Clicking noise over bumps
It is not from keys, there is also nothing in the glovebox. It's definetly coming from under the dashboard/windshield , and it is a rattle rather than clicks- it's not a vibration either. Happens 100% on cobblestones and some bumps. I have checked for loose cables but could not find anything. I thou...

Re: Clicking noise over bumps
I have the same issue. It's the one of the most annoying things and it buggers me totally- It sounds as if the scooter is going to fall apart! In my case the noise appeared just after i installed YSS valves in the front. i have opened twice the windshield and below to see if there were any cables th...

Re: Shock upgrade
Well that's what i thought too. More preload x more weight. But when i reduce it (Im 90kgs all gear on) bike is really not confy and shocks seem to lock, (bottoming?) when i add more at least i feel suspension work but still not confy! Bloody YSS... Mine seem to be OK only when riding in duo and yet...

Re: Shock upgrade
Whoa, Well done. I had made the tutorial for the French forum but yours is tops! Question, so adding more Preload for lighter weights? Is this correct? I'm puzzled because i thought more preload for more weight? No wonder mine felt like wood, i had them almost at the top. I have to change my setting...

Re: New vario malossi
That vario makes the engine uncomfortably screaming. So to answer, yes the noise is "normal". Give it some time to settle - at 5000 your belt should be ok enough. Also note the rollers in the malossi are quite crappy and will be shot in around 4000 kms.

Re: PCX vs Piaggio Medley review, now on SLUK
I would take ABS on PCX immediately ( and a rear disc). But that's unlikely to happen since Honda did such a good job lobbying that EU regulations make ABS or Combi brake compulsory on new scooters. So all other 125cc scooters will have ABS and PCX is likely to stay with combi and drums. There is no...

Re: Anyone fitted the YSS fork upgrade kit?
There's now an "official" YSS installation video Again, they don't enlarge the holes (!!) and those screw type end caps are nowhere to be found in europe. iY1wz74PYEE and here is the pdf of the whole kit https://www.yss.co.th/downloads/20170502074933.pdf Notice how the spring is a straight...

Re: Revving on center stand, due to frequent slow speed.
^^Read that as 8 Km one way, so 16 km in all daily, in city.( mean speed time is less than 30 Km/h or thereabouts, lots of traffic lights etc). I now change oil every 3,000 kms.

Re: Revving on center stand, due to frequent slow speed.
Your oil will never reach working temperature. I have a daily 8Km round trip and engine is just at temperature when i arrive at work. Change oil frequently see: http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/how-often-should-you-change-your-motorcycle-oil "When you ride the bike, small amounts of combustion ...

Re: Buying used - Lilly needs advice please
Speaking of which , check the oil level with the dipstick before buying- it will speak volumes if previous owner was careful. Dipstick is located just behind radiator, grey plactic . search forum here for pics. Procedure is as follow : pcx on center stand and a flat surface , engine cold, idle it fo...

Re: Buying used - Lilly needs advice please
Hi- Good choice for taking a led PCX, i've had a V1 and the led is is better in every aspect. I bought a S/H Led last year after mine was stolen. If you have already bought S/H bikes you should know what to look for, However with just 5000 km that pcx has not been ridden a lot and should be as new. ...

Beware - that is the Rear Trunk Attachment Kit that was recalled by Honda some time ago after several accidents of top cases falling. Maybe they fixed it, maybe not.

Re: Anyone fitted the YSS fork upgrade kit?
Oyabun (who was the first to fit and report about PD Valves here) and I use 15W, 20W should be fine too. For oil level, i would stick with what is the PCX manual, not the YSS. If you do not enlarge the holes in the damping rods you will have two damping systems competing one with another with unknow...

Re: Anyone fitted the YSS fork upgrade kit?
@WW125EX2C See this thread: http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4877 There is a link to the YSS install guide (pdf) and tips and reports from several of us. No need to shorten your springs, (there is no spacer in pcx forks) the valve will add useful amount of preload by themselves- Greet...

Re: Anyone fitted the YSS fork upgrade kit?
Remember YSS PD Valves are copies of race tech emulators. They, at least, have insight of what it is. See: http://www.racetech.com/page/title/Emulators-How%20They%20Work What i see in the YSS video makes me highly suspicious: 1) they did not disable the damping rod by enlarging it (risk of cavitatio...
