Re: first service cost
It seems like I'll have to shop around for a quote on my 2500 mile service. Just one quick thought- just had the oil change @600 miles plus check-up (I assume that includes clearances?) so why is the next service due at 2500 when, in my view, it should be at 3100 miles and then every 2500 miles ther...

Re: Which disc lock?
That's my take on things. I will do all I can to prevent theft but security hardware is just one of many measures. I try to pick a good place to park up to deny thieves the ideal conditions for them to have there evil way. I would always look to park next to a more expensive, unprotected bike or sco...

Which disc lock?
I was just wondering what disc lock you may recommend for the PCX. I have a decent lock & chain for when parking up outside the house. I'd like to add some extra security but also have something more handy for those quick stops around my little high street shopping area.

Re: first service cost
1st service done yesterday. Total cost £127.81 of which £89.10 was labour which involves all that plastics removal. But it's the VAT that really kills it for me. I saw the chart which shows how much Honda suggest the services should cost...and it's nearly double for the 1st service.

Re: Getting a PCX 125 on Saturday!
On that last note Emily, be aware especially as the nights draw in that you are less likely to be seen by drivers pulling out of side roads when you have a bright setting sun behind you. Something to be aware of. It's not as bad as it used to be as the PCX has 'always on' headlights.

Re: Getting a PCX 125 on Saturday!
Hello Emily and welcome to the forum. In answer to your questions I understand your excitement and nervousness about protecting your new machine against theft. Thieves can use very sophisticated techniques to take your PCX. All you can do is make it as difficult as possible. Always try to lock your ...

Re: new helmet - Caberg Ego
I have a Caberg Justissimo and it's the best lid I've ever owned. Top quality piece of kit and the integral sun visor is a great help when you're cought out riding into a low sun. It just fits snugly under the PCX's seat which is nice.

Re: Not going to order the PCX because . . . . .
I hadn't seen the S-Wing until I went to pick my PCX up from the dealer. I must say it seems to be a lot of scooter for the money and would be very comfortable. Almost Burgman 650 Exec-esque if you will. My only concern would be the effect the extra weight would have on performance but I've since he...

Re: New PCX Owner
I have a clock from Linda & Ross at Clocks4bikes. It is a really well made item and looks great. I didn't need the illuminated version as a lot of my night riding is on illuminated roads. I received my clock within 7 days of ordering and it took less than 60 seconds to fit from unpacking. Top-dr...

Re: pcx parked up for now
Syms get good reviews. Having a larger engine will always help on performance and storage space can make or break a deal. The PCX though is all about economy in a smart, reliable package where it should succeed brilliantly in my opinion. That said, I will hold out on my final judgement until I've ha...

Re: Best colour PCX?
I have one in black but having seen a red one at the dealer recently I think I may have bought one had I had the choice...not sure. I am not keen on PCXs in white but then I wouldn't have any vehicle in white (they show up all the dirt) or green (unlucky imho)

Re: New PCX Owner
Hello and welcome Ash. I have had my black PCX for just over a week now and am very impressed with it I have to say. I've come to it after a long line of bigger machines yet the PCX is right up there for fun and is so practical. You have to remember it's limitations though as it is only a 125 so avo...

Re: How much did you pay for your PCX?
I paid full list for my PCX. For that I got a really good trade in for my old bike and still got 0% finance on the remainder, so I'm very happy.
