Re: Yamaha XMAX 300
...It's 50l under the seat and it really fits 2 medium full helmets plus a small bag. There is even an LED in the trunk. The front 2 spaces are about the same as the PCX, but the locking one has also 12v outlet. I chose this vs Forza 300 for this main reason, the Forza has way less space, you can o...

Re: Power loss, speed loss and high fuel consumption.
All signs point to a valve being to tight. If one valve cannot close all the way during the compression stroke you lose power and thus increase fuel consumption.
34,000 km is a good time to do a valve check. Were they ever checked?

Re: Bike cut while riding and now will not start!
Thanks for the follow up. I was curious about this one.
Was there no oil in the engine when you opened it up?
Maybe the cause was the piston hitting the valves?

Re: Anti thief recommendations
I put the steering lock on and walk away.
My recommendation is comprehensive insurance with the lowest deductable if you are that certain that your bike will be stolen. Cost is around $40 a year and you don't have to waste your time every time you go into a store for 30 minutes.

$130 for a genuine Honda belt that lasts 16k km seems reasonable enough.

You crazy? Oh wait don't......
Waiting 6 weeks on a MAYBE? It might be 8 weeks! Cancel your Honda order and get 2 rears from FortNine! Now!
Tell Honda you can get it in about 10 days. The new teenagers working there will understand. You don't have to be loyal to them. They have to be loyal to you.

That hydrologic jack might lose pressure after awhile!
That's why i suggested the screw type scissor jack.

Pics should help.
Pocket Plate goes on left side under the 12v plug in this orientation. Pins on tray slide down into 2 slots, one front, one back. Feel the slots with a finger. Helmet hook.

Re: Centre stand
I point my toes facing the rear of the bike with the inside of my foot facing the bike. This way your body is facing the bike for better balance and you can rotate your foot as the stand goes down. Try it this way you might like it.

Re: How stable is the Forza
What are the instructors saying you are doing wrong? I would ask for a quick one on one for some tips. Google says the Honda CG150 Titan ES (never heard of it) has 31.2" seat height. This is probably the reason for dropping it if you are shorter. The Forza's 28.2" seat height and low centr...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT
Also... Maybe Honda's engineers hands were tied by very, very strict emission standards?
I read that's why Honda went with a 279cc engine. Engines over 280cc had even more strict standards. Something to do with Euro 5 or 6 I think?

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT
Stock rollers are 21 gram or 126 total. According to BRed's research 126 (21x6) gram total gives a 5800rpm shift point. 90 (15x6) gram total gives a 7160 rpm shift point. Halfway between those is 108 gram total (my selection 18x6 sliders) gives a 6480 shift point. Supposedly peak torque, and fuel ef...

Don't know bout that. With 18 gram sliders I'm 8500rpm at 145kph. What's your rpm at 145kph indicated?

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT
You are all a bunch of twits. Just buy a bigger motorcycle, buy a Harley, see yah, rain riding to look at BIG trucks today on my Forza 300. I think of changing the weights as the equivalent of adding or removing a tooth on the counter sprocket to tailor a bike more to your needs. Lighter weights, s...
