Re: Tucano Urbano and PCX 2014 ?
Adding another strap is easy enough. You could rivet it together (put felt over the metal afterwards so it won't scratch the panels), sew it together, or possibly Velcro the pieces together with the industrial strength version. Yes riveting it would work too, as long as you protect the plastic. Ple...

Re: Tucano Urbano and PCX 2014 ?
Probably anyone who cares has already figured this out,
but the trick to getting the Thermscud to fit is to add another strap at the top
because the "screw inside the tiny glove box thing" no longer works.

Wow. Thank you for posting.
Apparently "trim removal tools" are useful (like those in the link below)

Re: SV650AL7
Saw a Yamaha Super Tenere today, perhaps a 2012 from the color (black with some red graphics).
It looked somewhat like the FZ-07, but way cooler. Quite an exotic thing to see really.

Re: Long Journey
I've done that kind of distance on a day ride many times but never on a scooter. To sum it up I think the most important things to know are the route characteristics, weather, food and comfort stops, where the gas stations are that will be open for sure, what you would do in an emergency or vehicle...

Re: 35 year old disabled man loving his PCX. Intro topic.
Welcome, Hondas are great :) I've been tempted to go touring on backroads myself and that would be a LOT of fun. But as others have said, the PCX is not a great vehicle for touring on the freeways. Even if you modify the engine, there are still the suspension and the brakes (which are designed for a...

I had a 2015 (stolen) and now I have a very, very similar 2017.
I think the main difference is the color choice.

Any of these are good... http://www.giviusa.com/givi-products/ca ... lock-cases
I've used the 34 and the 36 which were both fine.
The 36 looked fancier, because of the metal decoration and the 34 is longer and narrower, so it's a tighter fit for my largish full-face helmet and anything else.

Re: Advice for anti theft
Yes TomTom, it's heartbreaking to have your scooter stolen, especially if the folks who are supposed to be helping you get over your loss act like you're trying to scam them. But this, too, passes. At this point I've got as many miles on my new blue one as I had on the stolen white one and I like it...

Re: how do i prevent my glaseses and helmets from fogging up
I open the face shield when I'm stopped and leave it cracked open if I'm riding slowly.
In a cold rain, I sometimes also exhale by puffing downwards.
Beyond that, I have a helmet with excellent venting and a pinlock visor.

[quote="homie"] Ok I'm a believer in mototune's break-in theory 8) The next time I buy a new vehicle with zero miles I'm dumping whatever synthetic it shipped with and running it hard with cheap oil for 1500 miles. No more owners manual recommendations that serve only to poorly set your ri...

Re: U.S. Warranty
Not sure what your background is with 2-wheeled vehicles... but the repair situation is a lot different than with a car, because it's a lot easier for the rider to get injured if the bike breaks or doesn't control well. So the burden is more on the rider (rather than the dealer or repair place) to p...

Re: rideing the pcx in the rain?
I'm okay with riding in rain, but not in thunder and lightning.
The biggest thing is to keep yourself dry, because it's not safe if you're shivering.
I use a rain jacket and a lap blanket in the mild winters here.
And as others have said, you need to ride very conservatively.

I slide a loop of strap under the back area of my seat,
lock the seat down and bungie
anything that I don't want to stash elsewhere
to it.
