Re: yuminashi 164cc kit break in !
Thank you BRO'S! you Helped me a lot. I will go the way of mototun it seems to me the run most compelling for me, and of course, change my oil every 5,000 km. Basically I only have another 500 km to 1,000 and the running time is over half way already passed! 2000 is better my friend. And you should...

Re: yuminashi 164cc kit break in !
My friend got 25000km out of a Yuminashi sleeve and still going strong. The problem is proper maintenance. No nikasil can save your ass if you starve the engine from oil. Learn from the precedents, like Vlad. He had to install an oil breather hose in place of the oil dipstick to lower the crankcase...

Re: yuminashi 164cc kit break in !
Been thinking of doing this kit, how do you like it so far? Read some reviews about bad customer service. Not too worried about how fast it is at this point. Is this the one you got? http://www.yuminashi.eu/164cc-light-bore-flat-deck-cylinder-kit-125cc-esp-engines-for-125-head/ I may sound like a Y...

Re: Clutch chatter
I think I will order them straightaway.. However I noticed that the part number for the PCX is 22535-K35-Voo and the revised (110) is 2235-KVB -900. I was just wondering will there be any modification requirements since the part numbers differ. Will the springs need any attention or will there be a...

Re: Clutch chatter
Next to "never". The problem is the weight of the clutch pads of the pcx. The material is also a cause.
I have had them on for over 10000 miles and no chatter even at very low speed.

Re: Clutch chatter
I use, and sell, the stock 110 Honda scooter clutch pads to PCX engines all the time. It eliminates the clutch chatter issue almost 100%

Re: 2 mechanics, 2 opinions... what do you guys think?
This will be a long post so here we go. 1/ 1 way to check if your head gasket's blown. Let the engine rest, cold. Then open the radiator cap. If you see bubbles flowing up, you have a problem, likely with the head gasket. Otherwise, if you know how to take the seat off your scooter, you should look ...

Re: Break-in new and rebuilt engines
I use a dial down version of Mototune. Use honda oil, let the engine idle so that it's at working temperature. Take it out and ride it harder than you would ride it in real conditions. varying the RPM. Sudden throttle opening can be ok. But don't rev it at redline to much. Do that aggressive riding ...

Re: Yuminashi help!!!!
I'd be checking all of the hoses and clamps... I have pretty much checked everything other than replacing the thermostat. I can actually see the splits in the radiators and where it's leaking.they always seem to split in the core right on the front or back of the tube Maybe change the thermostat, i...

Re: Yuminashi help!!!!
You must fill the coolant and bleed the system till all air bubbles get out. usually takes me 15min of squeezing bubbles by compressing top and bottom rad hoses with pliers while engine is running. if you don't get all the air out it will overheat.... I have been missing you a lot mate. How's the n...

Re: Yuminashi help!!!!
Then I would suggest getting a controller. Much more flexible than a bigger injector. Plus you have the extra feature of removing the rev limit.

Re: Yuminashi help!!!!
If you have the fuel controller I would suggest adding more fuel until you feel a power loss, that is of course you dont have a wideband O2 sensor. Or you can contact them and ask for a richer injector. An 8 hole high flow, fancy name, but the hole pattern is a circle, like a hexagon, not 2 half cir...
