Re: Installed aftermarket Keyless ignition. Result, not bad.
I contacted the eBay seller and they have an Ali express shop with cheaper price than what I payed. 119$ plus free shipping, for those interested. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000878262418.html?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.6a1a7d2dV0r0Nc&gps-id=pcStoreJustForYou&scm=1007.23125.137358.0&scm_...

Re: Installed aftermarket Keyless ignition. Result, not bad.
I finally dremeled the plastic that goes over the ignition lock. My dremel grinding skills sure need some improvement, but it came out ok. I should of taken my time with the dremel. The bottom part of the plastic I used too high of speed and too slow of a pass on the plastic, to an extent that I cut...

Re: Port-N-Polish Throttlebody
I'm curious to see what effects if any you might see. The opening of the throttle body and intake manifold has changed over the years. I believe that Honda has made those openings narrower to increase air speed for better low end power. So depending if you only polish, or you do opening and polish, ...

Installed aftermarket Keyless ignition. Result, not bad.
I always wanted keyless ignition on my PCX like what Honda offers in other markets. Some months back an aftermarket kit was posted on ebay and Aliexpress. After some online search, I found that it's a common upgrade for people in Vietnam and other Asian countries. In Vietnam they do have an aftermar...

Re: automatic transmission
I have the same sentiment halluinoid. I find the CVT very pleasing to ride. I have owned a manual motorcycle, and found it too busy. My car is a Manual, yet I find manual motorcycles boring. I also like the fact that you can just twist the throttle and go, it makes riding in traffic such a pleasure....

Re: questions from a soon-to-be rider
1. When I was a new rider, it took me a year to get on the Highway with my Yamaha Riva 170. Use a trailer or a small truck, it's easy to load up the Honda scooter. 2. Definitely, spend some good money on a quality Helmet. They have better cloth material inside, are usually quieter in the wind, and m...

Re: Windscreen question
The OEM "windshield" needs quotes around it, because it's so small and useless. I'm with the group here, remove the tall windscreen and go out for a test ride. I find the Honda PCX quite stable in side winds, but it might be because my previous scooter was a Honda Helix. The Helix was very...

"Yeah, but maybe" they will enjoy a ride on a scooter on their last day. It's definitely more humane than our factory raised chickens. And, unlike the chickens those ducks are out in the sunlight.Yorkie150 wrote:I feel sorry for the ducks...not a very humane ,method of transport.

Re: 2016 PCX top speed!
Where are you from? If your terrain is relatively flat, you might be ok. Exhaust might give you 1 horsepower, but it's not enough to make the PCX a highway demon. Honestly there isn't much that will improve the top speed, unless you want to spend a lot of money. You can change some parts of the CVT ...

Re: YSS front fork upgrade kit
Good news, I ordered the YSS kit for the 2019 model with the cir-clip and it should work. I just took apart the front forks and everything matches up. So how do you like your forks now? Because quarantine, I have only ridden my scooter a couple of times, but my first impressions are very positive. ...

Yeah, it's definitely not an adventure scooter. The extra suspension travel would be great in the city of Santa Cruz,CA. The streets are supper crummy.

Re: Full face helmet that fits in 2019 PCX?!
I had the impression that the new Honda PCX would be able to fit many different types of helmets because of the change in frame design. On my 2013 I tried once and haven't tried it since, not even with the new helmet that I have.

I wish you left the cat alone, it's there for a good reason, to keep the air clean for cats and (us) to breath. Btw, illegal to modify stock exhaust in many if not all US states. I personally like the stock look the most but I understand those yoshimuras or other exhausts have their fans too. Not t...

You could try to get a custom one made at a local tractor/hydraulic shop. You would have to take your brake line with you though. The easiest would be https://japan.webike.net/ps/honda+pcx+b ... brake+line

Re: 2 of my battery maintainers have died in one week
I cant understand why a lithium battery requires a specific lithium charger yet the bike doesn't need any adaptation - its charging a lithium battery from the same circuitry as a lead acid battery ? Some lead acid chargers have other features that are bad for lithium batteries. Like desulphating fe...

Re: Has anyone seen what Honda is offering us now?
The US version is going to have drum brakes in the rear. That's a big let down, for sure. The suspension though, that's the big upgrade.
