Re: How to protect my scooter over winter?
If I start it up once a week and let it idle for 10 minutes, will that do? ~~ That's usually considered a no-no. Idling without driving it allows condensation to form, but not get pushed through the system. From what I've heard, if you're going to start it, drive it. At least around the block a few...

Re: At a red light and it wont change
I've had to make use of the law in WI a ton since I got my scoot. Well over half of the lights in my area are triggered. Stop for 30 seconds, no traffic? Zoooooom

Re: Question to you from a newbie rider
~~ I think it took a whole day for me to be comfortable enough to go over 35. I've had my bike for a tad over a month now I think and I've had it up to 70. The bumps and dips really worried me at first and I was tensing up a lot. Now that I've ridden more, I've fell into a more relaxed grip on the b...

I had to post the link without the URL tag. So it show mine, but can't auto update it. I'd have to keep updating my sig to reflect changes.

Re: Honda SH150i
~~ I checked out one of these at a dealer while I was starting to look into bikes. The bike itself isn't bad looking and the big wheels are what got me interested. However, the overbearing price point compared to other, similar displacement scooters seemed unwarranted. And once I opened the seat and...

Re: Dr. Martens boots?
~~ Should look into any Army Surplus stores too. Not sure if you're in the US or elsewhere, but you can usually find sturdy, comfy, full-ankle height boots at those joints. Most of my boots are cheap wal-mart boots now since I replace mine every 6-9 months regardless of wear 'cause they get so nasty...

Re: Shopping for my first Scooter
~~ I don't like the classic look either. That's why I ended up with a modern style (Blur). The only bike even remotely close to the classic look I was contemplating was the Piaggio Fly 150. I wouldn't discount a used Honda Reflex either if you can find one in the area to look at. They're probably a ...

We only get the X in the US I believe.
Nice pick up on that bike! When I was looking for my bike, I saw quite a few used Silverwings for sale but none pricex nearly as low as what you paid.

Re: 50 Ways to Stay Alive
Just try and relax and enjoy riding it. If you can ride a bicycle on roads, that helps with traffic sense. If you are tense and nervous you wont ride well! Pick a cul de sac or quiet road near to where you will pick up the bike and practice some manouvering and quick stops before you head into traf...

Nice time lapse man!
I figured that bike would be what I would upgrade to after 2-3 seasons on my scoot. We'll see though. That storage would be a bitch to give up.

Sherm up at midwest flat out didn't know. His distributor couldn't give him a proper answer. It's the main reason I got sick of waiting.
Dragrace!? I don't think our engine break-in would like that much.

Re: PCX|Blur|Reflex|SC250
~~ So check this out: Signed papers last Saturday. Got the bike Tuesday. Just went for a drive and went past the dealership. Guess what was sitting out front? Red PCX150. >.< Kinda bummed about that, but it could have gone either way. I could have still been sitting here in september waiting for one...

Oof, that's a bad time for me since I'm a 3rd shifter. I'll make sure to get the bike out though and drive around Geneva a bit.

Re: Parking
~~ I went to the meter station, and it said QUARTERS ONLY on it. All I had was singles so I just took my chances. I didn't take the time to sit there an try to learn the thing as there were other people trying to get to it. The menus are shitty anyway. I'll just keep going to target while the meters...

Re: Parking
~~ Haven't had to park much yet, but when I have, I usually park a bit further away than I did with my car. Like at the store or some such, I'll park a few spaces back from the last car and walk the extra little bit up to the building. Makes the bike visible so no one hits it and most people could u...

I don't see it. To me, that bike is kinda fugly. Looks lumpy and unwieldy. I don't see the kind of sleek lines that drew me to the pcx.
