Re: How many nations (countries) are represented by riders h
Not sure that means 70mph in the UK either just that the national speed limit applies which varies by type of vehicle. ^ this. Apologies for the misinformation! Yes, it's a National Speed Limit sign. There are still limited vehicles over here. The riders who do the TT have balls of steel. Even Ross...

Re: How many nations (countries) are represented by riders h
^ And you have no speed limits, do you?. At least this is what I heard watching Top Gear when Clarkson and his accomplices head there to test yet another supercar on those roads. I'm envious :D . They do have speed limits but only in built up areas. Welllllll... you're both kind of right! We do hav...

Isle of Man Technically a country as we have our own government, but more correctly a Crown Dependancy of the UK. In essence, I can support England in the major sports tournaments until they inevitably go out and I can then say "Ah well, I'm Manx - glad the English didn't make it through" :P

Re: Fuelly account and how to add to posts
Took me a few minutes, but I found it! When you're in the vehicle of choice on Fuelly, right at the bottom of the screen there is a little gold shield icon (after farcebook, twitter, etc) - click that, and all sorts of things load on the next page. My sig uses the Small Banner one, with the url link...

Re: what trousers do you wear?
they look like jeans my dad would wear! I think that this sums up bike jeans pretty well! I've just checked out their website, and seems to be a good deal on at mo:- http://www.grinfactor.com/category.php?catid=32 Some good reviews there, and that will do me. I've worn them once so far, so can't re...

Re: what trousers do you wear?
I've just grabbed some GrinFactor kevlar jeans, including some knee & hip inserts. Not a bad deal, and it'll be easier for my short rides than proper trousers.
I'll keep an eye out next summer in advance of Isle of Man TT next year and let you guys know if there's any good gear deals.

Re: Givi wind screen
haha@ qed - nice! Slightly more seriously, I've been thinking about a taller screen. How does the (sadly discontinued) Givi 323 stack up against the Ermax +25? Not sure that I'd fancy the 322 height, just would be nice to have something push the air and rain up (ish) and over (ish) my helmet.. Cheer...

Crikey - one day away and someone's nicked my PCX!! Haha!
Didn't get near the laptop last night, but I promise I'll edit properly, although it hardly seems worth it, as this thread is funny!

haha- oops! I'll get that rotated when I'm back at home.
In the meantime, I'll just claim that I was doing some yoga when I snapped it if that's ok with everyone?

My daily morning ride
I start at the top right of the picture (ish), drop down the headland, and then along the prom to work.
It's only 3 miles, but on days like today it feels like the best place to live!

Just another addition. Background to this is that my vehicles are generally named after computers in fiction, and also that I'm a big Terry Pratchett fan. Culmination is that I refer to my pcx as Hex. Reference here if you enjoy reading daftness:http://wiki.lspace.org/wiki/Hex In any case, a new sti...

Rear view sounds a great idea to me, but I've been a cage man for 16 years so I'm used to a mirror "there". My gut feeling is that it would be more dangerous by bringing a false sense of security... I think it would be harder to get into the habit of lifesavers if you "knew" ther...

Haha- you're right Lou. That's still the reading from my guesstimate reading when I picked up. Only filled up once, so it should even up when I do!
Definitely getting more - the last 55Miles have taken place on two pips of the fuel gauge. Woop!

I did like the look of the clocks on that greek-based site a lot of the guys here like (they are www.clocks4bikes.com I believe), and I've seen a UK based site also called time4bikes.com In the thread below, Al69 found and fitted an LED clock, which I'm tempted to attempt at some point! http://www.h...
