Re: Two up hill climbing
If you really mean 50 kilometres per hour, and that's not a typo, that's no problem at all. Even stock, really... The stock variator is best for low gearing. Just add some 11-12g sliders if you have a 150cc, maybe 10g if it's a 125cc. If that's not enough you can get a KN Planning HD clutch from Web...

Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread
I think I would just buy a flatter riser with less sweep angle that still clears the dash with brake levers and cables. A black riser, black Forza collar and mounting blocks. Sounds like a good combo that can still mount accessories. Good luck with modding this, I can't wait to see how it works out ...

Update: It's been 3 weeks since the crash, and I'm back at work full time this week. I can't wait for this raise in 6 weeks, I hope it's a good one! My buddy said he was going to come around yesterday and look under the scooter, but he decided to help his neighbour instead, and hurt himself doing so...

Re: NCY shocks...
As a ballpark, I found 21mm or almost 7/8" to work OK for me. And funnily enough I've seen other people recommend that much pre-load, too. Because my pre-load is adjusted from the bottom I don't have to remove stuff, but I can only do tiny 1/8 turns at a time, so it takes a while... I might be ...

If you're crafty with small delicate petite hands/wrists (Asian), you can get away with just removing the grab rail and lifting the back of the bin. I am not blessed with such qualities, so I take the whole seat storage bucket/bin thing out, but leave all the side panels on (for the OWL anyway). Hom...

Just say you've observed the leak, and it comes back after cleaning, and have noticed the level dropping on the dipstick.

Since it might be her last meaningful Mother's Day, I took mummy dearest on a nice long drive down to Coolangatta to look at the ocean from the cliffs. That's quite a nice change from living near the bush/forest/woods. I think I might be doing a few more day trips like that before she ends up in a n...

Re: Changes from 2013 to 2017 (or 2018) PCX 150??
Since the new model was called the LED, I coined the term OWL for the older PCX because the headlight assembly looks like an owl's face.
I've recently started calling the US version of the OWL the SNAIL because of its antennas and being so slow compared to the AU version.

My Daytona variator with Advance Pro drive face adds more than 20kph top speed on the centre stand (152kph).

Re: NCY shocks...
The collar at the top is the same as coilovers for a car, they let you adjust the length of the shock so you can raise/lower the bike a bit. In turn ,it adjusts the preload of the spring at the same time. They won't change the stroke length, they just increase the compression (pre-load) on the spri...
