Re: Forza stutter at take off but also a bit after take off

grease on clutch shoes? doesn't sound right to me. I believe anything slippery on the clutch shoes will cause slipping problems. yeah you might lessen the stutter but at the same time lessen the clutch grip that will result in weaker acceleration and top end. If you need help with getting the carbon...

Re: PCX 2019 bigger wheels on older PCX (2016)

Wow, I didn't expect you'll really take them apart just to measure. It seem like it won't really fit and probably the only solution is to change the forks too, which I believe is too much of a hassle. I was looking at a PCX 2019 this afternoon at the park, and realized that the swing arm on the late...

Re: PCX 2019 bigger wheels on older PCX (2016)

Rear will most probably fit right on, I have doubt on the front. At least the disc and bolt pattern is different - that's what I've found when tried to move the big brake kit from my 2015 bike to my new 2019 one. If this is true, then I might just scrap the entire plan. No use changing just the rea...

Re: PCX 2019 bigger wheels on older PCX (2016)

I don't like the idea of putting wider tires on the narrow oroginal wheel as it seems to squeeze the tire and will result in actually reducing the contact area on the road. (iv'e read that somewhere, I forgot where though). I'm sure the 120/70 won't have any problem on the back as people have used t...

PCX 2019 bigger wheels on older PCX (2016)

I seeing a lot of used and cheap latest PCX(2018 up) wheels on Marketplace. I find this interesting because it will enable me to put the stock wider tires of the new PCX on my 2016. I was wondering if it would fit (plug and play) without any modifications needed? (i.e mud covers, Disc brakes, cleara...

Fuel injection.

Have the TPS (Throttle position sensor) checked.

Re: Forza stutter at take off but also a bit after take off

That's what a typical Honda dealer mechanic in Thailand is, never want to do anything that the customer requested.

It's so frustrating that Iv'e had enough and quit using their service after a few times.

Sanding will definitely fix the slipping clutch issue for a while.

Re: Forza stutter at take off but also a bit after take off

My best guess is that you'll only need to change the clutch pad to a much better quality and nothing else. That's what I did to my PCx, and never had that issue again. But then again, you own a Forza so it might be a different case. I would suggest buy the pads online, bring it to a shop, and tell t...

Re: Forza stutter at take off but also a bit after take off

One of our members from Thailand fix the issue with some local, to him, aftermarket clutch Bell and shoes for his pcx. The bell had some groves into the clutch contact area. He said that it fixed it on his pcx. Might be the same with the Forza? That was me, 2 years with the same clutch and never ha...

Based on my experience, If the battery gets really low, the alarm will be disabled automatically but will leave just enough juice to start the scoot.

Re: Brake upgrade

It says 'Made in the UK' at the top and 'Made in the USA' at the bottom. LOL LOL, assembled in China at the back. Jk  seriously though, cleaning the drum, lubing the brake arm and using some good quality shoes seem to have improved the rear brake's feel. 86297312_3061670327199213_3202155327579...

That looks great. The price is a quite high I think, but we pay to play right? lol

I'm quite not sure why would it affect frame vibration though. Is it significantly lighter than the original?

Re: Question regarding smartkey system

There’s something else wrong here. It’s not the smart key system. Nobody put systems on a bike that fail from the outset and needs some type of special attention. The bike is off all the time until the key gets within 4 to 6 feet of the sensor in the bike. Once it sees the key, it lights up the bik...

Re: Brake upgrade

I do. I think someone mentioned using sintered brakes all the way around, plus upgrading the brake fluid. Do that and see if it helps. Then let us know so we can follow your lead. Mel46, I'm referring to the rear drum brake so I'm not sure if those upgrades are available for me. I did open and clea...

Re: Got my PCX a naked brother

Twin engines are obviously more fun to ride and surely has more HP but single cylinder engines on the other hand are really easy and cheaper to maintain.. I almost bought a used MT03 instead of the Kawa as well, but the cheaper price of the 250 is just too good of a value for me to ignore. A lot of ...
