Re: Got my PCX a naked brother
Hah! Don't want to be caught sitting on a bike without a helmet, the paper bag did its job well. Did ride the bike to work yesterday, the lack of wind protection made me feel so exposed; need more time getting used to it. The engine is a smooth revving one, and the power is there all the time. You'l...

My money is on the tire valve leaking a little. Easy to fix. Do the spit test as relic mentioned first.

Look how small it is considering I'm only around 70kgs. Probably not suited for taller and bigger non-Asians.
Didn't get the chance to ride it longer yet as we are still working on its papers..

Re: About CBS fuild.
Check your front brake pads, brake fluid doesn't evaporate and if there's a leak it should've been empty by now because of the pressure. My guess is that your brake pads are already worn. Your front brakes has a third piston that works when you apply the rear brakes to produce the link brake effect...

Re: Got my PCX a naked brother
Thanks guys.. @whitenoise I got it for approx $1800. The seller I bought it from got it from a bank auction on a much cheaper price. ABS is one of the main reason I bought it. It's probably the cheapest 250cc with an ABS. I almost actually got a twin cylinder MT03 Yamaha for a little bit more, but i...

Got my PCX a naked brother
Found a good price for a used 250cc Kawasaki naked bike . It's a 1 year old bike with a 50% price reduction as Kawas depreciate faster here because Thais prefer the more common Honda or Yamaha. The Z250SL, a 250cc single cylinder naked bike from Kawasaki. 74348154_2814755695224012_463922678324841676...

Re: I couldn't do it
I agree that a scooter is the most comfortable and convenient ride to use in the city or around town But I'll be a devil's advocate here and say that it's one hell of a boring ride. There something about scooters that makes them boring, maybe because it's auto or its lack of power but I don't seem t...

Front brake for me seems okay. It's the crappy drum at the rear that needs upgrading, imo.

Aftermarket clutch pads with better material are now available here. Pretty sure you can find something in your location too. Just don't use OEM clutch pads.. https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9125 Iv'e been using this clutch pads on my PCX2016 for more than a year now and it's flawle...

Re: Variator rollers - a right and wrong way to fit, appare
I thought this is common knowledge on all scooters.
The side of the rollers with more polymer should be the one hitting the variator roller's wall once it starts rotating.

Re: keyless tutorial wanted!
There's just 3 buttons on the key.
1. Answer back button
2. Alarm on/off
3. Ignition switch lock on/off
3 years and I haven't changed the 2032 battery yet but i have a ready spare.

Re: Could There Be a V-Tech 4 Valve PCX 150 in Your Future?
It was mentioned that the reason for that is to comply to the Euro 5 Emission standard. Stated that it will make the PCX more fuel efficient, produce cleaner emissions and add more powel in the higher rpm range.
They should prioritize putting rear and front ABS first, imo.

Re: MPG: Getting around 90
Is this using the PCX own fuel average meter or based on your own calculation?
My meter says I'm averaging 120 mpg and I'm usually running at 45-55 mph too (with occasional WOT on open roads). I doubt the meter is accurate though.
But 90 mpg is a little too much for a 150cc engine I believe.

Probably related to the OP's question (or not)
What is this number attached to our remotes?
Of what use is it?
